When I did my steering Pep Boys had the scout box in stock. Well not quite, when I got it there was nothing about the box that looked like the scout boxes people use. So be sure it is really the scout box.
I used an astrovan box and it works great. The only problem is ithat mounts on the inside of the frame. It can be an obstruction for old chevy PS pump.

And a reminder that Kurt @cruiseroutfit deals in OME 70 series lift kits that they adjust for Pigs. I think their solution has springs, shocks, shackles, etc.

Understood! At least now you know. If the Safari kit shows up and gives you concern, at least you know you have options...
You might be money ahead to send your safari kit back and buy the complete lift kit from @cruiseroutfit.

We will see I already bought everything for it and I'm at about that same price. Which is still pretty crazy when you consider all other kits only cost a third of these. Sorry hard pill to swallow
What other kits are you looking at that are 1/3 the cost?
Pretty sure he is referring to the cost of lift kits from other manufacturers for other 4wd vehicles.
Old Man Emu makes a quality product, yes, but they are expensive, especially when you consider the cost of Rancho, superlift, etc.

You have to remember, most other 4wd trucks and SUVs are spring over the axle with leaf springs and coil springs.....MUCH cheaper to lift, as you can just add single leaves to spring packs, add cheap coil spacers, add blocks, etc. Not so with Land Cruisers.
