I installed the Dissent myself. Don't think they are that "much" different from an install perspective. Of the various bumpers I have installed, it was pretty easy and alignment was not hard.

Aw come on, someone must know where this mystery piece comes from.

Maybe its a remnant part from the repair of the seatbelt assembly that was recalled a few years ago? Fell under the seat and eventually found its way out.

I do! But they actually installed it for me since mine was a prototype. After looking at how it's mounted, it appears to be extremely similar to the full rear Slee bumper I (very insignificantly) helped my buddy install on his truck. It's a very nice mounting system, and the only part that gives me pause is cutting the plastic perfectly straight. I love this bumper though!

for the clydesdale class....how'd you get the drivers seat lower?
I'm 6'4" and I feel like my lid is a half inch from creasing the sunroof edge.

Anyone know of a secret way to dump the seat another inch?
I keep putting my chin into my chest to get in and out....

Hey folks, a new dumb question:

When I went on forest service roads I’ve seen the shifter bounce around, is that normal for automatics and the 200? I also notice that the shifter head is a bit loose, I can twist it left or right, normal too?

My other car is a 5spd and is cable operated so I know how that works well given I’ve installed a new shifter and shift cables myself.

I've had a few lexii models and can't remember which it was exactly, but the sales guy was showing off the drive by wire feature, and put the shifter in reverse while we were cruising on the highway. It was either a '13 GS or '15GX, but I've never had the balls to try it on the LX...

So you’re telling me, in my 2011 LX570 I can be cruising down the road at speed and slap it in reverse without the transmission exploding and ejecting me out of my seat?

If you look underneath, there really isn’t much room to drop. Too much going on under there.
I hear ya though. My upper body (waist to top of head) is like someone 6’6” tall.

My strategy is….
Rear of seat all the way down….
front thigh support all the way up.…
-Seated closer so knees more bent…
…seat-back a bit more reclined that some might naturally choose. It turns out this is very comfortable, easier on lower back on 20-hour drives (literally), and keeps the steering wheel more comfortablly reachable. I’ve always wished the steering wheel telescoped out farther (rearward toward the driver)…but alas, we can’t have everything.

The main wish I do have is that the center arm rest could be adjusted upward like on the 100 Series. It’s always too low to use if sitting up (for tall people), and the door’s armrest is utter useless for me.

I dunno… Maybe you have some things you do also…but that’s my list.

I’m sure no one is suggesting doing that.. haha..
I’m not gonna stick it in reverse to prove…
But… It’s not going to let you do that.

Even down-shifting too far is electronically limited so you don’t accidentally & destructively down-shift in manual shift mode (Manual shift, as in S Mode in drive, after pushing the shifter leftward)… If you try to force a downshift where you speed is too high while in S-Mode…it will just beep at you, and won’t do it.
-This comes up a lot when in 4-Lo off road, and you’re simply choosing a “highest-gear” threshold. It will beep at you and not allow it If you accidentally try to tap it toward a lower gear than your speed could handle.

Like I say… Not gonna throw it in reverse on the highway to prove…but I have no doubt it would similarly balk at reverse. Otherwise, we’d be hearing about exploding transmissions all the time from folks just goofing, or a child, dog or passenger doing something weird.

I found around 3 or 4 small paint chipped spots on my hood and passenger side front fender, up at the wiper cowl / passenger A pillar area. I don't know why or how these happened.
Are these paint imperfections a sign that my cruiser is asking me to install a snorkel?

I've notcied the shifter in the LX "moving" while under certain load conditions or a bumpy road. Nothing drastic or to be worried about. I haven't noticed this on the LC. The LC shifter knob was easily unscrewed, so I unscrewed it and put some loctite on the threads.

The shifter head is threaded on....righty tighty to make it not loose. The wood part should face towards the rear.

hit the power button before shifting into park. Also leaves the screen on for the kids while filling up with gas.

from power off state press start button without pressing brake -> ACC mode (2 more button presses to 'off mode')
from power off state press start button 2x without pressing brake -> On mode (engine is not running) (one more button press to 'off mode')

Oh yeah, that's it!!! thanks again. Now if only there was a way to disable the feature that turns the radio off after a period of time. Or better yet, make that decision voltage-dependent rather than time based.
