Saw this at Jack Stack on Metcalf. Really like the flat matte paint job.

That's my truck! Thanks man, it only took eleven weeks to get her painted... Worth it!
I think that I saw it yesterday off of 87th and Lowell area.... Tell us about the paintjob...

I wish I could find a capable body-shop that could deliver in 11 weeks...at a price I'm willing to pay ;)

Yeah, @jstouder , a matte finish paint job is really hard to do. Unlike normal gloss with a clearcaot , where if you have any defects, you cut and polish it, matte finish has to be perfect.

Who did the paintwork?

Spotted in downtown OP

Tanners Custom and Collision, downtown Kansas City. Justin Tanner is the proprietor.

They quoted me a price and held to it, regardless of the fact that they encountered all kinds of hell when prepping the body. It had been painted three times prior, mostly by Maaco type shops. They disassembled the entire body, took all the panels off, and did it right.

I'm not going to share the price but you would be surprised. Going matte saves the effort of polishing which can be up to 40h of work (and around $2k in savings). Matte does contain a clearcoat however.

It's a pain in the butt to wash because you have to do so by hand and often. Other than that, I'm beyond happy with the work.

I keep seeing a white 80 with black wheels and a RR mounted CB antenna parked at PlexPod in Lenexa about 99th and Pflumm/Marshall Drive.

Usually there in the mornings on my way to work, but never on my way home.
