I can hear Fred Sanford now, ya big dummy!

Glad you got it worked out. Now you can bring it to GSMTR! :-)

Dummy! Happy it was that simple. Did you find it or did your wife have to help?

Fuel Injection has been working like a charm. Been through 2 tanks of fuel. It has had two little hiccups both being in 4th gear at WOT it sputtered and bogged down like it was doing before. Did not last long. I let off the pedal and got back on it and it was fine. Could not get it to repeat till a couple of days later. Have no clue of what it could be??? Plug wire bad? Plugs are brand new. Any suggestion?

# 2 problem was driving on warmer days temp would be 210-220 which is better than it used to be. Above 220-230. I think the header has helped a little but I am thinking its the electric fan. It does not cover the whole radiator. It's always had that on it since I got it. And it's always had high temp readings. never boiled over or overheated. So I have ordered a fan clutch. I have a fan and shroud that came with this cruiser. So I am going back to that style. We will see if it works. What temps do y'all see on your 2f?

Make sure u don't have the plug wire touching ANYTHING!! That happened to me, it was grounding they the wire and I had new plug wires!!

Will check that. It's only happened twice and I can't get it to do it again. I might Change plug wires due to the fact I have no idea how old they are.

I went to get the fan clutch and then realized the fan I have is a direct drive and not for a clutch. I bought a spacer and I am going to try this out to see if it works. Is it bad to run a direct drive fan?

It'll be noisier and suck a little power out (vs the time when the fan clutch would've had it off).

But, it's probably not a big deal for the type of driving you'll be doing. It's more noticeable at higher speeds.

Supposed to pull more air. Only issue offroad with them is with deep water crossings. You will have to take belt off the fan so the fan doesn't end up in rad. Clutch fan will slip belt fan wont under tension. Thats just what i heard on forums. I have always had clutch fans and did not have any issues in the water.

If that fan doesn't work then build a shroud that will pull "all" of the air thru the radiator. From the pic you posted you have some area that no air is passing thru.

Shouldn't be that hard to find a good fan/clutch set up. Call Classic Cruisers. Jrob just got several used parts from them.
