Do you have a cable now, or linkage? I can take a pic tomorrow.

Do 40 pedals have an arm for a hand throttle?

I had stock pedal with linkage. But I have a universal cable set from summit. From one picture I have seen(and i cant find it now) they welded a extension on a stock pedal and cut a small hole in the fire wall for the cable to attach to pedal. I hope to get some shop time this afternoon to mess with it.

That is the way mine was done. You can see obvious non-factory welds on my pedal. You can also see where old linkage went compared to new firewall hole for new cable (new hole is about an inch to the left (DS) of old hole). I would get you a pic but I am about 8000 miles away from my pile (no offense intended to Shush or any other previous owners). If you have done all the other s*** to your truck, you can figure this out.. at least thats what I am thinking.

You know that they come with instructions don't you.

I am at the end of my rope on my FUel injection install:(.

I can't get it to drive! I have checked and rechecked install. Timing is perfect. Checked with timing light made sure my mark was right on flywheel. Fuel pressure is 12psi at idle or open throttle and even when I try and drive around. It idles perfect when I hit the throttle it does fine going up to 3000rpm perfect. When I try and drive it: anything above 1200 rpm it sputters backfires and starts lugging down. Sometime it completely dies. I replaced the inlet line from 5/16 to 3/8 today still doing same thing. I did notice when I was changing the line out, that from the fuel pump to throttle body the fuel was red in color and smelled like old fuel. But from tank to fuel filter to fuel pump inlet it was clear and clean. So I drained tank and replaced with 93 octane just to make sure it was not old fuel. Talked with AFI a couple of times with not much of a solution. Told me to check fuel pressures and trimming. DONE! Told me to get a computer and check o2 sensor millivolts and block integrator and block lean? But all the part places only have code readers. I Ain't Throwin no codes!
So if anybody has any suggestions let me know..... I am about to take it to a shop and tell them to call me when it's ready!MAD!

No it don't come with no intructions! I found most install stuff on a Scout & heep forum

12psi isn't much. Sure sounds like a fuel supply issue to me. What filter are you using? Can you crank up the pressure to 15?

No it has no adjustment. It's a fuel filter and fuel pump AFI supplied. Can't remember the name.

This may sound silly, but .........

Are you sure you have the fuel lines hooked up properly at the throttle body? I've seen them run ( not well ) with the hoses on backwards.

Pretty sure fuel lines in right place. The inlet was a 3/8 hard line and the outlet was a 5/16. The lines are facing towards the firewall and the inlet is on the left and outlet on the right.

They do sell an adjustable regulator for the tbi body itself. I think that it is just a spring. Post up over here. Devin just put Vortec heads on a tbi motor and the have been a wealth of info for him.

Eagle Mark and Dave W are good.

Will check them out. I might need a better fuel pump but I hate to buy a new one when the one that came with the kit was new. TBI is a great set up and kinda easy to understand until this crap happens!

I just re-read the other thread - this sounds like the problem Jrob was having. Switching pumps fixed it for him.

I still have my old one that ran strong. We can give it a try and see if there's any change.
