That looks nice. Did you also replace the back corner windows with the SOR?I've got the SOR windows. They're pricey, but they work as advertised. They are also a fairly quick and easy installation. I would say yes, they are worth it.

I would assume you have a lift. I just put the Ironman 2.5 inch lift on mine. What size tires are those and do they rub? That looks nice. Did you also replace the back corner windows with the SOR?
Bumping this back up.
Just bought a pair of used SOR sliding windows. Any idea on how to install them? It looks like there are 2 halves (outer and inner) that I need to separate?
Thanks.
Thanks.Someone else may be able to chime in with more expertise, but here’s this if it helps any:

Bummer for what SOR wants for theseYes and no...some open some dont.
One of mine opens all the way the other hits the bar.
If you can manage it, they’re worth it. Nice build quality and materials, and they do what they’re intended too.Bummer for what SOR wants for these
???? Wait, others have said that some will not open properly with OEM Rollbar. That seems unacceptable for a product that SOR wants over $500 a pair for and that is BEFORE their bend you over shipping policiesIf you can manage it, they’re worth it. Quite sure there are problems with ‘some’ OEM roll bars. That does not take anything away from the build quality or materials used, and I’ll add how easy they are to install.???? Product should work with any OEM Rollbar, if they don’t open properly exactly what good are they?????????Quite sure there are problems with ‘some’ OEM roll bars. That does not take anything away from the build quality or materials used, and I’ll add how easy they are to install.

Well if they don’t open properly With OEM rollbars they probably are NOT the windows for me! I would understand issues with folks running non OEM rollbars. They open properly for me.
‘These are not the windows you are looking for’.

Well put John. I like the idea of them just not the possibility of an install, not opening/closing properly and then headache of returning them combined with shipping costsToyota redesigned the roll bar 8/76 for the pop out vent window. That was because how close the rollbar is to the exterior sides. Because this appear to have the back slide forward would think it's the handle on the middle hitting the main bar in the front that it hit and can't open further. Before purchasing would call SOR and ask. Even if they take them back need to go thru installing to see if it clears. I would able to source the parts cheap to add the pop out vent window and doubt I would ever bother installing sliders for the cost and possible interference with the OEM roll bar. Only plan on keeping my 68, 73, 76 and 79 FJ40s. 68 already added pop vent windows out in the hard top. 76 debating adding vent windows. 79 had them from the factory. 73 have no plans to add a rollbar but it's a FST so would be hard to add the sliders.
Not sure when Toyota started the sliding windows but think it was after the pop out vent window. North America was one of the few markets that the short wheel base 40 had a rollbar. Just like the LX version Toyota didn't bother to made a version to work with a rollbar since volume wise we were small market compared to small cars which is what Toyota really marketed in the US.
