Just a few weeks away. How’s prep coming along for everyone?
Picked up a BaoFeng BF-F8HP the other day. Been trying to figure it out slowly, but surely.

I'll rack up another 500 miles and a weeks worth of trail beating starting Wednesday. :steer::cool::beer:....goals.

Losing 2 weeks of work. My job sent me to Hawaii for work, terrible I know. When I get back I will have the front knuckles to rebuild, paint job to finish, and gotta get the front fender lines correct. Zac has been driving it up Pikes Peak to "put stress" on it. I think he just likes driving it.

Put new brake calipers on it yesterday and ill be getting the last few things wired up for the radio and the power for the fridge done this week.
Taking it out for an overnight trip this weekend with my Dad and a few friends. If everything goes smoothly, then I think its all set for SAS 5.

We got the tranny/t case wrapped up and finished the install last Wednesday. All seems good, only have about 50 miles since the rebuild but no weird noises or any leaks. T Case shifts fine, in/out of 4lo & hi.

I s/b ready for the trip as it sits…May address my steering box leak before the trip, but may just wait until after SAS5.

Here is a picture of Jerry Fie @2mountainfish (he came to SAS3) working on the T Case rebuild.

Great to see you guys getting repairs and maintenance done.
As a friendly reminder to all registered participants, the extra swag order page will close tomorrow.

Myself and a few SAS alumni spent the weekend at a long time SAS sponsors shop, https://classiccruisers.co, helping the crew organize and strip parts so that our Cruisers can live on many years to come. @rhah @cornboy @Ratboy @mesa man had lunch at 11,776' on Tin Cup Pass yesterday.

Casey - Where is the extra swag ordering page....? Can’t seem to find it.
It should be in your email that you registered with.

Check your junk or spam file. Anyone who is registered that didn't receive it please send a email to solidaxle2018@gmail.com and I will send the link.

Currently down in the shop with transmission out. Had a bearing noise while driving that would go away with the clutch in. Input shaft bearings was the preliminary diagnosis but also looks like there might be some damage to the input shaft. If we have to tear into that then weighing options on rebuild versus a new H55.

Other than that the drawer system I wanted to build is not going to happen so will still be camping out of action packers which is just fine. G&Ts taste the same regardless if they are made on a folding table or a cutting board on a slide out drawer...
