Lots of stuff going on these last few days.

Finally got the spare 35" tire out of the cabin thanks to one of @4x4labs kits (looks sharp, good work, Luke). That's the last test fit. Paint has it looking even better. I'm countless odds and end projects and two bumpers in with an old Lincoln tombstone. Any future big project will be on a MIG. Hard headed and cheap as I may be...I'm not totally stupid.

Jess decided she wanted to do all the maintenance herself before setting off so Shop 101 commenced. Oil, ATF, and coolant all got newness thrown at 'em (diffs and tcase got theirs when I put in the 4.88s last month). Boss lady, Penny, kept us and all the passersby in line.

Last project before departure should be the platform for a rest stop crash pad. See yall in a week!

I just put my spare “in” the cabin. Bumpers next year.

Am I the only crazy mother that’s almost completely packed already? Put the food in the fridge, put the tent poles on the roof and I’m about ready to go!👍🎯

2 day drive for us, pulling out Friday morning...pulling in Saturday afternoon.😎

You're not crazy at all, John. I'm very close to being done as well. My girlfriend just dropped of her tub of clothes for the trip. She's stoked to finally get to go to SAS. Bought some of the Plano storage tubs and it's made a huge difference in packing the trailer. I should have gotten some sooner. There will still be a little room to spare.

Crap. Wonder what are the odds they can clear it in time? I dig that trail.

With the amount of rain we have been getting, I wouldn't be suprised if it doesn't get opened.

Well after tomorrow there shouldn't be any more rain for the next 10 days. So hopefully they clear it.

Hopefully. I'm tired of getting rained out of all my jobs.
I'm just hoping that it rained enough lately that they will keep the fireban at level 1. I haven't been able to sit around a real fire all summer and enjoy a beer. I am still debating if I should pack my propane fire pit.

Well I don't know the itinerary for the runs but they got at least a week. So fingers crossed.

There isn't really an itinerary. At the morning meetings - over some tasty Jade Bean coffee - everyone can get with the trail leaders for that day. Most popular trails will be run every day, so you're not likely to miss a trail you want to run. They were pretty motivated to clear the snow last year, and did a good job, so fingers crossed!

I'm bringing my small smoker just in case. I'm betting campfires will be a go, though.

Packed to leave CA to get back to my house in Boulder to unpack and repack my other currently trail worthy car. 4 day turn around. I have no idea why I pay rent in Boulder :meh:
