Comically I didn’t mean to post in this thread, but I am getting coffee and the Troopy ready so I guess it’s appropriate.

Yes, there are several cores leaking at the weld by the tank. Simple pressure test would have prevented this.looking forward to being worry free.

Getting ready for SAS 2. Complete rebuild is completed. Install on Tuesday 4/24. Start up maybe a week later. Getting anxious.

Engine is in, mounted to the tranny & the motor mounts. Nothing else is hooked up, but the hard stuff is completed. Now to sweat bullets until we turn the key for that 1st time. Some local 4xClub members as well as @2mountainfish are giving me a hand...using my cherry picker & the engine stand was borrowed from @sheepdawg, both active Mudders here in the Sierra's. So far so good.

Hey Casey, since you’re keeping statistics, there’s a 90% chance I’ll be changing my entry vehicle to a 97 FZJ80 this year.
I have to finish demolishing what’s left of the rear bumper. Ouray is as good a place as any to accomplish that!

Sitting in line for the group photo at Lonestar Toyota Jamboree. Limiting the number of vehicles for SAS really makes sense.

Lotsa Yotas. Looks pretty awesome when in my neck of the woods one onlys sees a Tacoma now and then to every 100 Jeeps. Still, I get it that there must be some logistical bogging down happening.

Last "un-official" count was over 400 vehicles. Mostly new stuff that the market has demands for.
The annual "Blessing of the Jeeps" is happening in Michigan today. There are a few other "off" brands there among a couple thousand jeeps. I considered taking my 40 with a sign on it saying " the J stands for Jeep so piss off!" But, don't really want to hang with them anyway.
Meet up with some SAS folks!
