There are 4 in my group, we planned on going that route. Not sure about the others.

Will be there asap, our travel group is planning on crossing Stoney Pass into Silverton then into Ouray.
Less than a week folks, can't wait to hang out with some fellow Mudders..

My place is about 3 hours from from Lake City CO which I think is close to the east access to Stony Pass. I'd like to join y'all for that run if some other stuff falls in place.

Can you make a SWAG on the date and time you will start the Stony pass run?

Thanks

Jim

Some of us will be heading up to Monte Vista from Taos this Wednesday the 9th. On Thursday morning we'll be heading up past Creede and turning west on the road to Stoney Pass, driving past Rio Grande Reservoir. Probably mid-morning at the turn-off to Rio Grande Reservoir from CO 149.

Thanks for the info.

I may link up with you at Monte Vista on Thursday for the Stony Pass trip. I'd be in the blue FJ60.

That will make two blue 60's in the group. Two 40's a 62 and an 80.

I'm about 80% that I will be able to make it down for Friday and Saturday.

I'll bring some raffle prizes. :)

Sweet man. Looking forward to it..

One more month and I think it could have happened John. Next year for sure.

We're in. We'll arrive Wednesday afternoon and will stay at the Rio Grande Motel in Monte Vista.

Stay a while?

Stay a while?

It's said that "Time is nature's way of preventing everything from happening at once."

Unfortunately that was not enough to keep the SAS and the Colorado State smallbore prone championship from happening at about the same time.

@beno im site 15 actually not 19, Thursday thru sunday

I want to send a big thank you to Yackster and Potato Launcher for their help getting my fj80 back on the road and making it possible for me and my family to make it to the first ever Solid Axle Summit. After a blown head gasket Yackster machined the head and replaced the valve seals and got the lifter buckets back in for me and Potato Launcher had the right answers every time I had technical questions. He even came out to the house and helped me torque the crank bolt. So I owe it to these guys for making it possible for me to get my first ever Toyota to come back to life.
Glad I could help out hope you got everything going good

Anyone willing to share a camp site with a total stranger that has nothing in common with you besides a love for our old rigs?

Sleeping in the back of the 60 so really just looking for a place to park for the night and a shower. Thurs fri sat nights
