This looks like a modified hard top door header. Do you have the second piece that snaps in? Once it snaps in three screws are used to keep it in place.

FST door headers are one solid piece at least up to 2/73, the newest bows I have that I can date.

I know. I took those pieces out because the door shut more properly without them. I don't know if thats right or wrong. but this is how my corrugated hard top bows look too. I have early doors.

this is what im looking for....pretty much just the top, to a top, but for an fst.

Here are a couple more pics from the guys in Pakistan that made them. They made good stuff, wish we could still get them.

If you running early corrugated top doors this will probably work if the B pillar is straight. I'm currently have a early FJ40 I have FST doors on. This is just to keep it seal up. Really should put some early hard top doors in it. Then store the FST atdoors in side a garage.

Amazing to see where my soft top came from and the body template that was used to make it. Its also cool that my bows are the same I got my soft top in a group buy here on Mud back in 2007/2008, it was quite the ordeal, ended up waiting 18 months for there top. If I remember there was a war in Lebanon and they couldn't ship anything out of Pakistan.

Finally getting around to installing my soft top albeit nearly as quick as @Roastchestnuts .

Im not familiar with how the Troa top is formed and attaches to the windshield frame. The Pakistani top attaches to the bracket that the hard top uses and to the bolt holes on the top outside of the windshield frame. I am doing some trimming and bending of the metal (green pain marker) so it doesn't rub on the windshield frame. I may add add a rubber gasket of some sorts or plastidip that part of the door frame header to prevent metal on metal rubbing.

My FJ is from Oct of 1970 and has the same old style doors and they fit perfectly with the door header with the insert.

Sadly I believe it was the early hub cap reproductions that was going happen but didn't that was the down fall of Pakistan parts. Eshan required a direct bank deposit for the hub caps and never follow thru with no refunds. Know LAND CRUISER stamp bezels that were being produced left people hanging as well.

@SC-Cruiser early door will fit because the top section moves a tad … however over time this section will crack on your outer door skin

I have the hard doors as well been running them for years … mine is cracked

Good to know. The top of the window frame is very tight to the header . I will take a look at how it fits with the insert removed.

Mine just did not fit with it. now its not perfect but totally usable. I need to post some more photos and info on it. I am still waiting on more oem turnbuckles and a few other little things to make it perfect.

How may of the turnbuckles are you using to secure the top to the tub On my tub there are 9 holes in the lip on each side extending all the way around the back corners. I did see a post somewhere, where someone mentioned using 5 on each side.

For the troa top 5 on each side seems about perfect. I tried to get away with 3 per side but once my top came in I relized that i need 5 per side. its annoying because the toyota turnbucles are about 10 - 15$ each depending on the vender. But they are made well!

For future reference for hard to get expensive parts check Partsouq, they have the turnbuckles for $5.18 a piece and shipping is very reasonable even though they are in the UAE

I got mine for $4.88 from amayama and shipping was under $10. I did look at partsouq but it was about $5 higher for me for shipping.
