I have a small tear in my TROA top from pushing it in and out of the garage. I noticed that I have a small nail loose above the frame of the garage door.

How easy is this to repair and noticeable will it be? I’m considering taking it somewhere to get it professionally done.

Hey Cimarron, here is what I’ll send you. Obviously the tans don’t match exactly but the Gear Aid patches are clear. Use those on the outside and either the Kenyan Repair tape (thinner, more brown) or the Crown repair canvas (more sand color) on the back side. All are “permanent” to a degree but can be removed if needed.

I’ll double check I have your address still and drop these in the mail today.

Personally I would just get some seam sealer (outdoor seam sealer, not the automative caulk type of stuff). I'd push the loose ends into the hole & then rub a small amount of seam sealer into/on the holes on both sides. Then once dry, I'd repeat the coating to fill any gaps or missed spots. That would seal it, be barely visible & help stop if from growing over time. If I was further worried about it spreading, I'd put a patch like Ian mentioned on the inside. That would help prevent it from being pulled on, but be virtually invisible most of the time due to location.
