Not sure this is the correct spot for this question. Wondering if anyone has any recent successful experience with Relik Garage or TROA ordering and receiving a Soft top in a decent lead time. It seems that most of the recent google reviews for Relik are bad.

I am pretty certain Relik is a TROA dealer, like (full disclosure) me.

Regarding lead times: TROA makes a top in the order they are received. Bows too. They serve the world, not just the states. It’s getting ready to be soft top season and folks are placing orders at a higher rate. I know inquiries always spike this time of year for me.
I’m have, on occasion, been able to jump in line for a customer.
Customs can also delay your top, just a fact and a crap shoot.

Regarding the straps failing from leaving the vehicle outside: it should be a part of regular maintenance to apply a UV protective to your straps quarterly.
Look into 303 protective spray or other products from the the RV industry.

they look diffferent than the troa ones. I don't see how they're made by the same company, unless they're just spec'd different. anything is possible though.
Genuinely curious, what looks different about them?

I really don't know, but the relik looked alot cleaner to me, and the troa always seem to fit looser. we will see if it shows up I guess.
In either case, the “tautness” is directly related to how it is installed. TROA doesn’t seem to put a premium on marketing photos that’s for sure.

I’ve sold, consulted on and installed a fair amount of soft tops, if you need any assistance, please reach out. I’m happy to share what I know.

starting to get a little worried. tomorrow is 4 weeks since I ordered. so far total silence. haven't had a chance to call this week, and my email hasn't been answered. I'm gonna call them in the am.

When I ordered something from Relik there was no confirmation type email but I waited about 3 weeks and never got a email, call or product. Called several times over a couple days. No answer, and no call back. They immediately called me when I initiated a chargeback. They told me the expected ship date and it arrived a few days after.

They will tell you they don’t stock the soft top stuff at their Florida shop and that when you order from them they have to in turn order from Columbia so that’s the hold up.

When I’ve run into delays on tops from Colombia, I’ll usually get notified that there is a customs delay. It is completely plausible that your top is tied up by CBP since we are in a shutdown after all.

In my experience, 3 weeks is about average from payment to delivery.

thats really gonna suck if I have to pay additional tariffs on it! I talked to him on the phone right after I ordered it and he made it sound like they made them in house there. if its coming from columbia who knows when it'll show up thanks to the stupid shutdown.
