Hey guys,

I am getting a new "dual swing out" Cruisin Offroad Rear Bumper delivered sometime between the 14th & 16th. So I am soliciting responces for a group wrenching session sometime in the next week or so, in order to put it on. The location will be at another local members shop in the North County area. He has so gratiously offered up some space to do this and suggested a little group session.

Basically, I am in need of a cut off wheel to notch the rear cross member since my Dremel won't cut it. Also a few hands to make short work of hanging the bumper. Below is a progress pic that I received the other day.

Any takers? If so, I'll post up a location and time once shipping dates are sorted out.

Thanks.

Sam,
I might be able to lend a hand, depends on the dates though. Are you thinking weekdays or weekends. My weekends are pretty booked for the next month.

Derrick and Mike,
Change of plans, the bumper is NOW being delivered to my place, instead of the shop in North County on Monday.

Do you, or anyone else reading this, have a 4 1/2" die grinder with cutoff wheel & a sawzall or reciprocating saw that I can borrow? I really don't have much of a need to purchase these tools other than for this specific job.

where in North County are you? I have a die grinder & Sawzall.

A big thanks to Cruisercouple for the assistance in cutting & grinding the rear crossmember.

That thing is stout, three layers of hard steel and several Saw-Z-All blades were broken in the process. We had a few  's during the process and called it a night.

Here are a few shots.

S.CarolinaFZJ80 you are most welcome, and i thought it was going to be an easy job an hour or so max. Boy was I wrong that rear bumper is thick.

My tools are here anytime you need them.

Well we finally got it finished around 10:15 last night. It needed some finessing as all frames are different and the tolerances are tight on this bumper and after powder coat even tighter.
Here are a couple pics but I didn't get a final shot so hopefully Sam will before he flys out.
