Need these for the 80's before you start making them for the 100's? It only makes sense

I want to be on the list for the windows for the 80's!
Well, it makes sense numerically anyway.....
And I will have the 80 for prototyping before I have the 100 anyway.
(step it up 100 guys)
I think the 100 guys have you beat on this one. We are willing to spend the $$$ that this ridiculous project is going to end up costing. After us please proceed to the 200 folks whilst doubling the cost. Please go back to your duct tape and bailing wire using group of IFS hatting Luddites .
Well, you are certainly all gear magnets who spent too much on their trucks, but I thought that left you without any change left over for mods?

And, ummmmm, you know I'm a 60 guy, right? Duct tape, baling wire AND leaf springs, forget about even coils.
The only downside with the 100s is the lack of the rear marker light that gives me a great spot to mount the exterior control, have to figure that one out (would hate to have to only offer it as remote controlled if I can help it)
Other than that the 100s are easier than the 80s
Nice to meet you this weekend Jon!
Big problem with doing 80 split windows will be getting a one-piece section of glass to built the frame on. The 60 and the 100 have a solid rear window which can be easily modified.
Yup, and that has been the hold up with working on the 80, makes the frame more difficult, when I checked the non-us solid glass was too cost prohibitive but I met some nice folks at the Expo this weekend who thought they might be able to find a better rate.
If that is the case, consider the 80s basically done (as done as the 60s anyway).
Here I am, cruising along, thinking that my truck is almost done and then you post this bit of Cruiser Porn. Yer a sick bastid. So what does that make me?
Price, my Brutha, price! (also timing, so I can make up a story for my wife)
PS price and value are two different things. Value is the one that matters.
Done? Done is never done Ward.
Come on up so I can put some new plastic in that bent tailgate of yours and I'll put some windows in as well.

As for price, I still have no idea.
I don't have prices on any of the hardware yet, it's all prototype stuff still so that is going to make a huge difference.
I've been working hard on simplifying the whole thing though, the side effect is less parts, less cost. (but then again I spent way more time so maybe I should actually try to pay myself for that for a change.....)
It's probably going to come back and bite me, but I THINK the range is going to be 600-800 for the set. I THINK.
And I'm not holding my cards close on this or anything. I really have no idea, I need to do an actual set from start to finish to add up what the steel costs, the laser cutting, the hardware, the powder coating, the shipping, and how long it actually takes me to build.
So seriously, no clue, but heck, it's my forum, I can go back and edit that post.
