Not that I know any better and these were the best pics I had but this is the first I am hearing of a different pan being needed.

Thanks for looking out guys. I also have every intention of yanking out everything in the engine bay and hopefully doing it right.
For now just getting it good enough to keep driving for a few more months before I go full retard on it.

Also everything that can possibly leak on this truck is leaking. Even the owner leaks sometimes..😉
Oh good it's not just me.

Looks like a project, but definitely a good one. If I had the money, I'd take it on in a heartbeat.

Went to get coffee before gym this morning and was greeted with this.

It Was leaking at the upper rad hose where it connects to the thermostat.

Was able to get a few turns on the hose clamp so I went around and did them all even thought they weren't leaking.

This truck is competing with the Valdez to see who can leak more.

Hopefully done leaking coolant for a little while. I really need to get into tearing this thing down and posting cool stuff!

When you replace the oilpan use toyota black FIPG on the corners and use more than you think you need. I even used some along the longer sides in a very very small amount. Zero leaks. Before i used permatex only in the corners and the oilpan leaked. Trans pan make sure you use the black acdelco gasket and not cork.

So I will have to use a different oilpan?

After getting frustrated with minor coolant leaks on mine I went with the heat shrink style hose clamps (powergrip? brand) .. and have had zero zero zero issues since. I like them.

Was able to offload front bumper/winch and lights. Also while I there removed broken headlight washer tank and secured battery tray on pass side a little better. Hoping this weekend I can get my axles home and start tearing them apart for paint and rebuild.

Need to keep the thresd alive. This is from a while ago got some elocker axle housing that were absolutely destroyed. Not my best purchase. Ended up getting my ass saved by @orangefj45 . Ended up buy two completely different housings and going with a Eaton locker, rcv axles. These housing will be good to keep under rig while I work on everything else.

Got engine bay all cleaned up and truck on trailer to be towed to my friends to weld on trail tailor 80 front kit and well sorted motor mounts and box frame up where it had been notched.

Did a huge few days trip where I sold a motor, sold some axles, bought a motor and did a good amount of work on the rig. Drove over 800miles in 3 days.
Well worth it.
So I had some reservations about letting my friend weld all the brackets and what not on. I can weld fairly well but I wanted his help for boxing the frame up and making the frame compatible with the 80series box. Tim builds some pretty crazy buggies and is an amazing fabricator. He loves to Tig weld if it's not obvious from the pics.

Only pics I have frame boxed in. Was just the initial pass. Looks much prettier now.

Messing with the steering box and fitting with shock bucket. Flapper disc got away from me and I went a little crazy on clearancing spring bucket. Might fill in the holes that I made a little but not sure yet.
