So been at it pretty diligently lately. Of course everything takes longer than expected.
Got the front diff all together and suspension on the front. Just need to mount steering box, track bar and drag link. I didn't realize that I had to cut the rcv axle splines to fit the locking hubs but wasn't a big deal just something I wish knew sooner so I could have done it out of the axle. I had to use a skinnier snap ring to fit in the groove between the hub and axle, don't remember the part number off the top of my head but I found it here on the forum using search.

Some pics for proof...

Glad we were able to help.

Beautiful work, keep it up!

I’m looking forward to seeing progress pics.

Thank you señor really do appreciate you and the economy does too...lol

So roof was deemed unusable and gutters were absolute trash. I went on a mission to find a roof and was lucky to find one local to me once again from @orangefj45. I went over to Stockton early in the am and valley hybrids crew helped me get the rig in a position to cut off the roof, cut it off in a bout an hr and had it on my trailer. Super straight roof with good gutters.

Problem was had to figure out how to get if to flagstaff to @kelly saad , the freight to get it there would have been pretty costly. Georg then put me in contact with an amazing freight company called If it fits on my roof it ships.... @ofer bruhis Really helped out and was able to get the roof to Kelly in flagstaff. I was freaking out the roof would fly off on the way there or make it impossible for Ofers troopy to go uphill because it has that weak diesel motor he never stops talking about but all went off with out a hitch....LOL Thank you mucho amigo!!

And delivered with out an issue!! How many of you can say your roof has traveled on a Troopy?

We’re definitely an interesting bunch, right?!

So stoked that it all worked out the way it did.

Ofer …… what can you say about that it; he’s a fantastic human being, as is the rest of his family. ❤️

Georg @ Valley Hybrids
Agreed.

Your frame looks great! When you’re all done it’ll be like new. You gonna dd the 60 and keep the 4Runner for wheeling? Very nice 4Runner btw. Keep up the good work man it’s gonna be nice!
I sold the 4 runner... Wish I wouldn't have but honestly too many mouths to feed. The 60 will be the do it all rig. I have every intention of using the s*** out of it. From dd'ing to wheeling it.

More pics came from @kelly saad today, still going backwards but technically its forwards...I think.

Anyone have any pics of a 60 painted in Toyota quicksand, or Toyota Terra? I am waffling on colors right now, too many good choices and it's driving me nuts.

Or maybe this

Can't believe it's almost been 6 months since I posted. Got a fair amount done but the reality of it is it has been a slow go.
Finally got the front axle all buttoned up including brakes and soft lines. I am not sure on how I want to to do the front axle hard lines, I can run the hard line from the passenger side all the way to the driver side then up to the Frame/master or I can have 2 circuits and both meet at the master. I'll figure it out once the body is on the car which way plumbs better.

I was able to get the rear axle housing all cleaned up and powder coated. Also got it all assembled and installed. I am using the old leafs for now but once I get this thing done and have all my weights figured out I can figure out which parabolic springs to use.

Here is the frame doing its best impression of lieutenant Dan

Messing with u bolt flip kit and making sure I can get it to work with air bags.

Cut off all the brackets and go to work on bash plate for r and p and also putting on perches. I had to modify some of the brake cable plastic to allow it to work with the bash guard.

Once the rear end was in and almost complete I started working on the airbag set up. The hurdle here was making the boss airbag brackets compatible with the U bolt flip kit. Wasn't my best work and after I was done I realized I could have done it way easier and faster but oh well. Hopefully the s*** holds together or it will be back to the drawing board.
