I am not going to do heavy off roading but I think should get a slider that covers the whole thing. TG 67” would be 2” inch short from each side. 78” would not be quite easy to trim. Therefore looking at other options. XO looks good. They have 69” but willing to make 71” if needed. For the bolt on a solution thinking to use a U bolt with a plate on the other side. Need to figure out the exact dimensions first and will see if I can work it out with XO.

Nice, at their listed price I'd be interested for the DIY.

Update: just placed the order for U-bolts from MetalTech - cost about $103 with shipping and tax.
Once I get that will work with XO to get the exact measurements for the plates and go from there.

I went through this thread but did no see mention of the bolt on Rocky Road Outfitters sliders. Is anyone running them, pics?
Edit: I ended up going Trail Tailor as they support the board and the quality of the products was clearly better.

I just saw they have $80 shipping on sliders as well. Compared to the $250 from Metal Tech seems like a good deal.

Metal Tech made some adjustments to their shipping yesterday. It reduced the shipping costs by quite a bit (over $100 difference for me).

Shipping cost was what deterred me from Metal Tech. That's the reason I ended up with Trail Gear sliders. $190 on eBay with free shipping. The problem is that the sliders are still in my garage after 1.5 years, never find the right time to weld them....

I built up a set of 69" XO sliders for mine. Welded on a bolt plate, rather than U-bolts. See below. Need to go back and put the gussets on the top of the out-bars that i forgot when i built them.

Do you mind giving out the measurements for the legs, please?

It's really up to where you want the slider positioned and how you build up the reinforcement pads. I centered my straight tube on the pinch seam under the door. You can take measurements from there.

Below are the details of my semi DIY rock sliders in case someone else would like to take that route.

U-bolts and nuts - Metal Tech - $103.71
100 Series Land Cruiser/LX470 Replacement Slider Hardware Kit RP-HP-UZJ-22000
The kit came with 4 U-bolts. Had to be buy 2 sets to get needed 6 - have 2 spare now.
Custom 71" slider kit - XO FOB - $370
71" slider kit welded $255 ($195+$60 for welding)
Custom plate kit - $50
Plates 3x 8 9/16 1/4 thickness with two holes with 7 1/8 from center to center.
Gussets 1/4 thick
Discount - $15 - mention IH8MUD
Shipping - $80
Total - $370
Powder Coating - $100
We had to measure the legs, cut properly and weld it. After welding, got it powder coated.
This was some work to be honest but end result is satisfactory.
Initially I was thinking to get bare metal step slider for $650 from BIO but shipping of $250 was a killer.
Total was $370+$104+100 = $574
I ended up buying a welding machine $1K+ which blew the budget out since the older welding machine did not do the justice. However the welding machine could be and will be used for other projects. Of course, I could not do this without my cousin who had done welding for years but years ago.

Got them done by a local fabricator. Great work and very high quality.

I've been scrolling through and like a lot of what I see, but curious if y'all have recommendations for me. I have an '02 with the stock running boards still on. They're in great shape, but kind of dated / bulky looking to me. I'd love to replace them with stepped sliders, but I don't really need the sliders for function because I don't do much on trails with rocks, etc. I have to have steps, because I have a slight lift and my wife and family are short. Given that, cheaper is better. Open to any thoughts and will keep reading through the thread!

Hello,

Does anyone know what sliders these are and/or whose truck this is? I LOVE IT! Thank you, Erin
