Went out to a local spot about an hours drive from home, went to hard on one hill and bounced sideways into a realy crap spot! In the photo i'm so happy since the winch line is on and bought the front down a fair bit! Hopefulyl will get more photos to come. On another note I think my turbo needs a rebuild, there is alot of oil in/around my intake pipes. Watching a 1HDFTE turbo on ebay that I might use. Parents go away for three months in june so I am hoping to borrow mums car while I work on the cruiser intercooler and turbo.

Some more photos and of my pathetic attempt at a hill climb. The other middy is a BJ73 with 1HZ, the GQ patrol has a Chev LS1 and auto in it, the GU patrol has 37''s, X Link front end and about 130rwkw on the 37''s, the hilux is a trick jigger with a 3L turbo in it.

Oh how I wish the 70 series was more available in the states. Makes me think about moving.

You can start importing early 70 series now, or soon, can't you?

Couldnt tell ya. Dont have the money right now if we could. Hard Times, Hard Times. Wishful thinking more or less. Im over on the 40 series section but cant help but look at the 70's. I love the look.

hey hulsty u must b one of the luckies guys so many great trips and the mates to do it with and a s*** load of knoledge, ive seen u on alot of threads im sure any1 who is into 4wds knows who u r, im sure ull hear from me from time to time to get some ideas, i was thinking of selling my car but after all this info and pics ive seen im deff keeping it now
thanks bud...

Well today I fitted a new brake booster, fixed a myraid of other problems in the vac system. Went from 3.5 or less in/hg to a strong 25in/hg in the vac system. Brakes are now AWESOME I can lock up the 33''s easily. I thought the Bullet had better brakes than the barron when I got it but now it is waaaay better. Clutch is light as a feather too. Tomorrow I will adjust the clutch pedal height and free play and install a new starter motor.

Excuse the REALLY bad photos, but this is my mum and dads car, they have just left on a 3 month holiday across a decent part of Australia, 4.5L Turbo V8!!

I also did some maintenance on my car before going on a trip and found a damaged free wheeling hub.

I'd never driven in the snow before, and the weekend just gone is the last where all the tracks are open. During the winter alot of tracks are closed to protect them from damage so not alot of chances to get into the snow.

Here are some pics!

Thanks much for sharing your pictures. Where were the snow photos taken? About 20 years ago I left California in the middle of July (temp about 45 degrees C), and found myself in the middle of winter in the Grampians where there was snow on the ground with 0 degrees C temps.

Really like your build on your 74...

Nice snow photos, I'm looking forward to it again very soon, just need another couple of snow falls.

There still are a few tracks that don't get closed, where you can drive until you get stuck in it, that's why I'm going to put portal axles under my troopy.
