sexy studs
do you still have the cone washers?
i sent you PM about flares?

My car had a fair cruiser lean going on, about 1'' fall to the drivers side before I got into it! So yesterday I swapped the rear springs around, nearly level now! Also had to chop the lower rear corners of the rear guards so as my 35''s fitted, they only hit by about 5mm. Also mounted up my fire extinguisher and MAG light to the transmission hump. Last weekend I finished mounting up my new compressor air tank under the car and ran all the air locker lines.

Today I hope to have my rear draws in and the fridge!

This information is no good without some pictures :)

x2. Pics!

Hows the studs holding up mate?

Capscrews are holding up well, done a few hundred km on road so far. This weekend I am going away for Australia day, they will get a good work out.

As I am loading stuff into the car I am finding the rear springs are not coping with the weight at all. They are 9 leaf EFS springs, not old at all. Bit disappointing, I think I will have to look at some decent OME rear springs unless someone can recommend something else?

some people may disagree as they are cheap, but i have ironman springs in my mine, and last year i went up to kalbarri, and the back of the car was fully loaded and a roof rack, and there was no signs of sagging,

i also drive around every day with a hefty drawer system in the back, which also holds a 35kg deep cycle, and my tools and spare parts, and no sagging, so ive found them to be pretty good

Some pics of the rear draws and fridge. A mesh covered cross brace will be put behind the front seats soon. The gap between the existing draws and the new cage will be filled with a lid and spare parts and low use items stored under there.

They 35''s fit reasonably well, unfortunately the springs cant handle the load I carry and the tyres hit the outside lip of the guard. Spoke with ARB today, $210 each for their heavy 75mm lift BJ74 springs. Going to get the part numbers and check these against the 60 series rear springs. I do not want to get caught with a to light rear spring as I will have a lot of weight in the rear of the car. At this stage I think I will stay away from extended shackles too, hopefully keeping the car more legal.

Tuesday this week was Australia day, I had a four day weekend and went away with a few mates. Did some damage to the car, slipped into a rut ~3' deep and punched in the rear quarter panel 2'' and ripped out the rear light. Have knocked most of it out, finding it abit hard to get the last creases out right near the tail light. More photos to come when I get them.

Great pics , Are most of the tracks open now ? Im scared of the area just like Gembrook , allways end up with carnage of sorts .
I rolled my little suzi there years ago .
I was looking at some other 4WD forum and saw you in yr old 73 along with a surf and another rig .
Victoria has some great tracks but unfortunatly there getting closed one by one .

Have started beefing up the cage work, uprights going from the bottom of the step in the floor behind the front seats to the top factory tube are in. Hopefully next weekend the cross brace will go in and it will nearly be done!
