Done a bunch of work recently, on the Kinglake trip broke the passenger side engine mount, bought a genuine one to replace. Doing work to replace it, found the mount that was in there had no top bolt on it and the drivers side mount only had the nut just on the threads not done up at all. So after fitting the new mount, re-aligning everything and doing all the bolts up the car is much smoother with less engine movement.

I have also been having some brake and vacuum problems, found the front wheel bearings were a little loose causing pad knock back and inconsistent pedal feel. I also added a vacuum tank, made one out of 100mm square tube, mounted under the drives side floor pan, around 2L volume, works great and didnt run out of vacuum at all on a recent trip.

Meet up at the Rawson pub for tea, had a great meal, hit the road after dark, tried to do some track, big tree covering the exit to a flooded river crossing. Turned around and took the easy roads up to Mt Selma, was hammering down snow. After Selma we headed over to Matlock then down into Woods point to the Kevington pub, after a stop there we headed up and over/around/looped Mt Terrible. After some driving round there we headed home. Pics are worth a thousand words. It was absolutely belting with Snow pretty much all night, the drive was about 500km all up and 16 hours or something.

The snow drive brings back many great memories with my 1st bj74, we used to head to our club hut, behind falls creek, plenty of great exploring tracks in that area, if you get the chance do a weekender in winter or summer, head to the blue duck for feed, mitta for a beer, and if like fishing plenty to catch as well.

Great pics mate, snow.. something we never see in WA,

How's the LED light bar doing on the roof?
Hood glare or any complaints?

Nah, thats why I have it mounted about halfway between the A and B pillars, the line of light comes down pretty much right in front of the bullbar, none on the bonnet at all.

The light bar itself is great offroad, lights up the tracks well, with a mass of light all around, it does not though heaps of light a long distance though. I still use my HID driving lights when on the open road of need to light up a reasonable distance infront.

Only problems are, when snowing heavily it is useless, everything turns white and since no heat is generated the lens ice's up wit snow. In rain not to bad, heavy fog useless. Aside from that it is great and I have used it on three big night trips so far no issues, no water or dust ingress etc which I am happy with since it is only a cheapie.
