Looks like you have a great crew of friends and plenty of places to explore and ride. Looks like a great time. To me having my 4*4 is just about having fun with friends and exploring places. All about what the land cruisers are about, you guys in AUS get all the "cool" options that those of us in the states only can read about for the most part.

Thought I would chuck some picks of my new car!! The cruiser has now been designated to weekend use only, was my daily driver, did 60,000kms in it in the two years I daily'ed it and did trips with barely a problem.

New daily driver (cheap to run on LPG) is smooth, comfortable, doesnt need constant maintenance and is a ute which will be really handy for me with all my cars and stuff to do around home, it is a BF Ford Falcon 1 tonne model, it had some HUGE 10 leaf springs in the rear, I pulled them out in favour of some 3 leaf packs, much better ride, I will rarely load it up anyway.

Well it turns out my glow system works, it was just never cold enough to activate. It must be temperature controlled, dont know what temp it turns on at though.

How does the Glow System work on a 13BT ? It doesn'y have Glow Plugs as it is direct injection, only heaters I have seen are the screen ones ?

Just interested as I have never seen a direct injection diesel with golw plugs.

13BT had a glow screen in the inlet tract. No glow plugs, direct injection, glow screen is temperature controlled.

Ah ok that makes sense, I got confussed and thought you said glow plugs but it was some other guy in your thread that said it.

I pulled mine out as it was never going to get used in QLD :)

I had a maloo once of the best cars I've had, they are a high performance "new age" muscle car running the ls1 or ls2 motors.
Maloo meaning thunder storm etc in aboriginal

Jeep wasnt in our crew, came upon him as we were leaving a track. It was actually driving along the edge around the whole, slipped and fell into it, not much damage, needs a new soft top.

Nothing wrong with the ford, it was cheap to buy and really cheap to run/fix and it earns its keep.

Nah Maloos are a GM Holden, they have Corvette Motors. Chrysler dont sell utes here.

Maloos and Falcon GS uts are "sport" utes and very popular, especially with the young blokes, they are relatively well priced and go like the clappers.

The base for a Maloo is a GM Holden VE SS ute, 6.0L v8 350hp

The Maloo is a factory affiliated hotted up version by HSV 6.2L LS3 V8 425hp and I believe still holds the record for the world's fastest production utility/pickup truck beating the Dodge Ram SRT/10

Ford have the Falcon FPV GS, its has a 5.0L Mustang v8 but with stronger internals and a supercharger from factory, 425hp stock, but with a basic computer change and new air filter they are making near on 540hp AT THE WHEELS!! I would love one, but out of my price range at the moment and I really dont need a 4th car.

Nice pics ! Thats quite the payload in post 231.

Lets not ever confuse an LS engine with a factory Hemi..... pls for the love of the performance Gods, its like calling a 40 series a Jeep or cute....

Is the jeep the lsx or hemi motor:hhmm:

Nah I dont have 4 cars, I only have three cars, the BJ74, Falcon ute above, and this below. Though my partner has her own car, so there will be 4 at my place, I am considering a tarmac race car of some sort though.
