Ok, this is a bit of an odd request. I'm trying to pic my exterior body color. My top choices are freeborn with white or white with a matte black or dark gray/silver.

I like the two tone a lot but have been considering a monotone scheme. Something like a matte black, desert tan or a dark brown.

Not sure if I like the monotone as much as the two tone. I've gone through the registry thread and potm thread as well as google images but I'd like to see some more

So, post em if you got me and let me see those monotone pigs!

I am also considering a monotone achromatic traditional FJ55 paint scheme with satin black on the top and a muted Nebula green on the bottom.

You can see the test spots in this photo.

Not mine but this is the best representation I can find on the internets.

Thanks for all the pig pics. Keep em comin'

solid

Here is my almost finished '71. I wanted to keep the cygnus white. I figure I can always add the two-tone later if desired (per factory).

Btw, I have to say I'm more than a bit surprised that I've never seen a pic of a dessert tan, FDE or coyote brown Pig

looks sharp hermosa. I really like the cygnus white

You're right Tucker. I hadn't seen yours. Looks great! Is that Desert Tan with FDE for the stripe?

the pickle used to be one color (kind of) , so did twrecks.

i like them both better with a little extra color

Is that bedliner on Twrecks? It sounds like your saying its been repainted which i'm guessing it would be quite an undertaking to remove bedliner from an entire body and repaint.

Lol, uhh, which one is it? That's a lot if pigs

By the way, the question was rhetorical

What's rhetorical mean?
Not really sure. Just something I heard a man in a fancy suit say once.

Btw, any regrets going with bedliner on the outside? I'm pretty sure I'm doing the entire body in Protex bedliner, so your thoughts would certainly be welcome.

Regrets, I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention.
It's hard to wash (does not bother me much).
I used the cheap Herculiner, no UV protection, so it thins over time. Every 8 or 10 years I roll another coat on...the roof did tend to get warm in the summer, hence the white top. Had some paint left over and Ige got drunk and put the stripe on.
But, I find it very functional. When I rub up against a rock or a tree and scrape it off, I get another small can and patch it up.
It hides body damage quite well and I think it looks good. I do get quite a few comments on it.
