Should I buy '97 FZJ80? Sell the 2010 4Runner Trail?

Buy the 80. But don't sell the 4Runner. Buying the 80 as a weekend toy = fun. Selling the 4Runner to replace with an 80 = stupid. You will regret this move, I guarantee it.

I'll second this. I sold my 4th gen 4Runner after about 9 years of ownership back in the spring and regretted it. I very recently picked up my first 80 as a result, but it's a weekend vehicle. I have a loaded F250 as a take home company vehicle. If not for that, I probably would have been back in a 4th or maybe 5th gen 4Runner. There's something to be said about being able to just jump in a vehicle and not having to worry about preflight checklists/maintenance before you set off down the road.

So what, you need to have a daily driver and then a 4runner to back up the daily driver and then an 80? Some of you guys are either paranoid or completely neglectful of your vehicles. Just sayin'.
