You do know that the stock D60 inners are 35 spline right? You can upgrade the outers to 35 spline if you want to but, as I have said, you will never break the stock outers with 37" tires.

Lenny still be gettin' learned on this stuff.

Bettin' this 40 gets bigger tires after the CUCVs.

Sheila needs to make sure that does not happen (sorry Lenny)....I catted around in my Bronco with 40" blue label Crawlers and I can say 37's would have made for a much, much better "street tire"

I like the tires... I already have to jungle gym it to get in. We will see. Few things on the list ahead of replacing perfectly good tires.

Trim down the 14B with the 37s (heck, even 44s!!!) or you'll be makin' like a farmer and plowin' that dirt into nice rows.

Lenny before you throw more money into this 40, ask your self what's the purpose of the rig?

Mostly, what trail are you guys going to be running?

The 40 seems to be fine for the trails that I have done w/ you guys in Hot Spring.

if you're going to be following Daryl, Woody, Josh and Dusty, I suggest you get the 1 tons and 42"s or at least 40's!:hillbilly:

I got the 14 bolt full floater and 37's and Broke quite a few things last time I had my 40 up there!

...to mention some, the pinion seal on the 14 bolt.

Worst of it, I had done this on the 80 w/ 285's and did not touched anything!

Kowboy said "you're digging ditches JP w/ that 14 bolt"

It's my 40 and I don't care much if scratches/touches/rubs the rocks.

All I can tell you, I am looking for some mad dogs 39's for a 15" rim:grinpimp:

I had mentioned all of what you al' are talking about!
Sounds like the owner of this 40 enjoys too much the ramble of the V8 and is on the skiny pedal more than she should!:grinpimp:

"A lil' finesse usually works, when in doubt throttle up"!:hillbilly:

...but w/ no locker up front, usually requires to throttle up!

I just can't believe that in the first time out on the trail there were broken d-shafts/u-joints!

Same thing happened to me back in 2009! and then I started the slow change to a Front D60. it's all stock w/ Detroit locker and 4:11's

I am almost done w/ the change tho'

Yep. All I know is the skinny pedal. Still trying to figure out what all the rest of those shifter thingies and buttons do you know.
