First step is to lift the front of the truck, remove all steering linkage so that each wheel moves independantly of the other, then carefully move each wheel through it's range carefully looking for any binding or such.

I also noticed that you need to add some bump stops to the front as the harmonic balancer is getting into your aluminum drag link on compression. Could be part of the problem.... but I doubt it.

Ok what happens if there's binding? Bossman or georg shows up in santa's sled with gifts of uninterrupted smooth steering?

errrrrrrrrr

try again

:flipoff2:

So the answer is?

Mimel's a good place. I use them for seat repairs. Only 1 person there speaks english so you know they can sew. Drop my name to the owner Rene and he might cut you some slack on your bill.

Gotta figure out where the binding is coming from. If I remember correctly, that GM Corp 10 bolt is a ball joint style axle so you could be getting binding there. Another possibility is binding at the axle u-joints if the steering stops are set too far in or the u-joints themselves are getting tired. Could also be in the steering box itself which is where we go if no binding can be found in this process. There should be an adjustment on the steering box that can be used to take slack out of the steering. If it's set too tight it can cause the symptoms you are describing.

Best I can do for you from here - sorry.:frown:

I concur! Initial thought was over-steering knuckles. OR, possibly the steering stops are too far out causing the steering to try to push through the stops.

Like Bossman said, it's kinda hard to speculate from the other side of the screen. Bring it to Memphis this weekend

EDIT: Make sure your lockouts are unlocked?
