Shakey mirror fix with a bracket and bottom post fix

Does anyone know what type of plastic is used in the mirror housing? I couldn't weld PP together

i used JB weld on my mirror about 4 years ago. it held up great.

Should be ABS but might have additives to make it heat resistant?

Great product, although my drivers side bracket cracked on installation. Oh well, epoxied it, just waiting to dry. For the ones who think it will fit with even one tab on, no it wont!

You need to cut the ear off the mirror, it won't fit unless you do.

Has anyone seen mirror brackets like this? I have the solve function wobble mounts but when installed my mirrors won’t angle high enough to use. The brackets are clearly different from what everyone has posted. It’s a 96 lx450.

That’s what I feared, I’m gonna try and shave the mounts down a bit and see if I can make it work, they still fit surprisingly

Just installed my new brackets. Work like a charm! Took me a little longer than others. I had to fight with one of the screws that was frozen into place and it took me a little while to figure out how to line up the bottom screw. All in all under two hours and they work perfectly. Thanks.

Just wanted to say thank you for this fix. Just installed the kit on my wife's 80. Notched the little "hangers" on the mirrors and they both popped right into place. No more shaking.

Excellent product @Outsane however my driver's side is a lot less shakey but still shakey. Passenger side is rock solid. I'm going to pull out the driver's side and check for broken parts and possibly add some neoprene tape for stiffen it up.

BTW, both tabs are broken off already so that shouldn't be the issue.

On the driver's mirror, right side. My motor housing has a slight extruded ridge (vertically in the middle) of the piece that goes up into your bracket. Not sure if it's just pivoting there or not. If I tap on the left side of the mirror, nothing moves, the right side has a smidge of play. I don't "see" it in the mirror unless I hit a good pothole or bump.
