WANT!!! I am getting ready to start a bumper design project with my students and plan to use my 100 series for our model. This would save me a TON of time in creating the 3D file. If I could manipulate the file then that would be awesome. Just cut that ARB off and add the frame back into it so we could test fit the CAD bumpers on the actual 3D 100 series file. would make the project a lot cooler for the kids.View attachment 1225821
I found a model someone created for a game in .dae format, converted for sketchup, and resized it to 1/10. Wheelbase = 11 3/16". Can't speak to the accuracy of the rest of the dimensions or take credit for the modeling, but it would make for a pretty sick RC car. I put the model up on dropbox if anyone wants to download it.

AWESOME!!!!! Just showed my class what you did. They are excited about the project.View attachment 1225925
@bhicks - Well, that was easy. Whoever created this model wasn't messing around. Bumper was a single component that was easily deleted and the frame ends were already there. I added another Sketchup file here:
Dropbox - LCv3.skp
If you download the trial version of Sketchup Pro, you can export a .dwg file for AutoCAD. And it looks like AutoCAD has a Sketchup importer plug-in. Or Sketchup Pro is free for educational use if you want to go that route.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, and I'd love to see pics of the student designs as well.

Anyone know where I can find some scale line drawings or blueprints of the 100-series (or any other Yotas, too), preferably with some sort of size reference included?
I'm going to make a scaled down model of my Hundy and want to get as accurate as possible. Sure, I could bust out the tape measure on my rig and go back and forth to a drawing or picture, but it would be much easier if the info is already out there somewhere.
I know this was a loooooong time ago but were you ever able to make a 100 series body for your SCX10? I'd love to get one but have nowhere near the patience to design and build myself.
Check what import options Solidworks has. I'd bet it can read a .dwg like @cruzerDave linked to above.interesting!
Anyone have any of these in solidworks format?
Anyone had success importing these files into fusion360?

I have used this file for a couple years with my students during the bumper design project. Here is a bumper I designed in class as an example with my students.
It's been a couple years so my memory is a bit foggy but I think I had to convert the scale to English from metric. The actual file we use now is scaled-down down 1/10 scale. I do that so we can 3D print the bumpers and test fit them on a 1/10 scale model.awesome, got it loaded into Fusion360. Did you rescale so that it was fullsize? Having some issues getting that to work...

Cool, I uploaded the DWG into Fusion 360 and it appeared, but it basically doesn't work. It makes Fusion extremely unresponsive. Is that just because my computer is too old or what? I have an asus laptop with i7, GT750M and 8GB of ram. I've loaded some other somewhat sophisticated models in Fusion and Solidworks and it's been much more responsive than this.
Did you have similar trouble with this file?
