went scouting this weekend in the holy place ;)

Figured i would show a couple of pictures. Found a few trails that are down right tough, and if it were wet and raining, i know we would have burned up some winches and got some body damage. :grinpimp:

One of three things:
1. Jungle had his hands full in the rough spots and didn't get any snaps of the gnarly spots.
2. Is a master of understatement.
3. Pictures don't do it justice.

All I know is if it's rainy for the next few weeks uniform of the day is going to be waders with crampons for a couple of those trails 'cause there's gonna be a whole lotta winchin' goin' on.

BTW when I got back on the highway I found my wheels canted several degrees to the right, i.e. the steering wheel is about 15-20 degrees left when you're going straight. The tie rods don't seem to be bent. Anybody got any ideas? PM me or start a new thread if so, I don't want to hijack this thread.
I hit a couple of those ledges pretty hard with my right front. "Hit it at Jeep speed" as Rymer sez.

Dan, sorry man, it was just going to be me and JFZ80 to visit my grandmother and hit a couple of trails. Then bill wanted to come, so we said cool. next time.

Hey concrete, I'm with Dan on this one. I would have skipped Foster Falls for this recon trip. Looks like we may have to add a new loop to the pumpkin pig run. Thanks for the pics. Can't wait to see it in person.

And Bill, apparently it is really easy to "clock" the steering pinion when offroading. Mine is currently clocked about 5-10 degrees left, but it tracks straight as an arrow on the highway. Sometimes an alignment will cure it, but you can take to RHT and tell them what's up. If it's that far off (15-20 degrees) then you may get some Christmas lights on the dash. There is a steering wheel position sensor that kicks on the VSC light I think.

tight doesnt even do these trails justice, i hiker wouldve been mangled. although the fun came at a price.... my precious has been violated. IH8PINSTIPES:mad:
