Polishing done. Man. This thing POPPED. It's amazing how few dings are on it. Very very good paint.

Just changed the oil. This thing goes to the stereo shop tomorrow.

Perfect. About the only non-analog parts on the truck.

First impressions: Fabulous. Nolen picked me up at the hotel this morning in his gorgeous new 100 series with the 1FZ FE. He let me drive back to Tilda Bogue. Great truck, I was afraid I would think less of the 80. I don't.

While I can feel the difference in power between the motors, this carbed 1FZ is just as smooth. Really a testament to toyota engineering.

The truck is far smoother on the highway than any solid front axle, 32 year old, 200k+ mile vehicle should be.

Scheelmanns worth the price.

100% satisfied with the truck and this whole experience.

Headed to the Ozarks and a couple of days with the truck. More soon.

I have followed your truck for a long time via @Meshal - glad to see a US buyer doing the right thing for a beautiful classic. Especially happy to see it in person last week. ❤️🔥

Congratulations ‼️

Thanks Ward. When I booked the trip I was hoping your 100 would still be there. I like a VX and wanted to try the 2UZ 5 speed combo. I hope you had a good trip across.

Back at ya, would have liked to meet you and spend some time comparing our unicorns. Drive home was awesome and I cannot describe how awesome the VXR ate up the miles. Only snag was the 73 mph nanny alarm. Not so bad until we hit Colorado when the traffic sped up so I accelerated and turned up the tunes to drown out the beeper.
Congratulations on the VX - hope you get a chance to taste a 2UZ man trans some day!
PS - Here's the Old Man 100 relaxing while running errands.

Ceramic tint is done. This stuff cuts 70% of the heat. Almost clear. Looks great on a classic cruiser. I run it on all of mine.
Can you share exactly what it is? What percent? Brand?

I've been considering ceramic is a couple of my vehicles. Don't need limo tint but UV and heat reduction.

Drives great. Hands free at 75. Happily cruises at 3k rpm. But she's working. 65 is a breeze.

Ice maker works
