I'll amend this.

Easily. IF you have your shiznit together. If you wait until July 28th and something is wrong and you can't get a part or machining for six days. Well, then you'll know what the cascade is. And you're F'd

Are you just waiting on parts or are you good to go to start assembly? What color are you going to paint the block?
I got all the parts about a month ago and I'm ready to move ASAP. I'm sure I probably forgot something small, but all the critical stuff from outside the US in my hands - no long delivery times, any last minute parts will be local pickup or domestic shipping. I have band practice after work tonight, but the rest of this week will look like me getting off work and going to my shop until late at night.

Block is going VHT high temp satin black, side cover and timing cover will be VHT high temp matte pewter gray, and the head is already gold. Taking a page out of 60s Jaguar here with a straight six with a black block and gold head. I actually had the head done two years ago by the same shop and have just camped out on it while pondering a block rebuild. I figured I may as well wait for a complete rebuilt motor instead of throwing a fresh head on a crappy block.

Solid. You totally got this man... this engine will surely be in better condition than the HantaVirus specials this past week!!
And surely better than my motor with 105 dry compression and 130 wet compression, nearly-spun rod bearing, and strange low end noise. "it sounds like knock, but it's not knock" is what I've heard from a bunch of people way smarter than me. One school of thought is that the thrust bearing for the cam ate itself and it's just in there bouncing fore and aft whenever it feels like it. Another theory is piston slap or a wrist pin issue. Who knows, maybe I'll autopsy it in a year. Hey at least I got my truck to be 100% leak free right before I yank the motor haha.

Soon very soon !!!! Odom Point

So I arrived in Telluride a couple days ago in the search for my Patchouli Princess, as Randy says it. Since Ouray has already claimed to be the Jeep Capital, how can we get Telluride to claim the Cruiser Capital? I have seen more 40s, 60s, 100s, and 200s than Jeeps here.

Till we figure this out, enjoy 1 of the 3 40s I saw with Black Bear in background.
