How the hell are they going to rescue anybody without a Land Cruiser?
Too bad we couldn’t all pool up the $$ at SAS to buy this thing and then donate it back to them with a new O2 sensor (although I might quietly slip away with the VH cassette)

Don’t see anywhere if it’s triple locked?

Inquiring minds are still curious why they are putting it up for auction, but good to see they are getting some bid action.

Ethel survived Hot Springs orv last weekend. See ya in a few weeks 🤙

Daddy issues. Daughter issues. Granddaddy issues. Someone in her past did her dirty. Still trucking like a trouper though! Next time you’re around Salida/BV, let me know and you can give her the once over if you’d like.

You had Randy sold at Daddy issues.....

Throw in some patchouli with a dash of meth and you've got the perfect recipe. 😆
Jared is into the hippie chick thing not me . I prefer my girls to have daddy issues not hairy arm pits haha

But on a serious note for everyone even more for you flatlanders with carbs. Colorado just implemented some new reformulated cleaner burning green new deal gasoline . I have been hearing about poor performance, poor mileage, guys getting misfire, knock sensor codes and engine pinging . I filled the crawler up last weekend and almost instantly got a small misfire and a flickering CEL the whole day. I bet that was it. Here's an local new paper article explaining it. So if you start getting small driveablity issues after filling up in Colorado this could be why. I will have a small hand held scanner at the event to read and clear basic codes if one pops up.

What to expect from Pueblo gas prices as Colorado adopts reformulated gasoline - https://www.chieftain.com/story/news/2024/06/07/what-to-know-about-pueblo-gas-prices-this-summer/73984285007/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR1nUbp6E_WjtmfgEuV9IGLdCpXRy9YiBqb-BM5TEN2nPbp8tNcQ_ExXyZs_aem_AdGInT-SolhFAtNEHEgtLWhLRWOTINOkHQ3-aF8oKFoai-aJ4QNtU8fW9mJg3MJipQUA7YskB8iDtOmEjCdQqbJ_

the only significant difference between RFG and "normal" E10 conventional gasoline is that RFG is blended to a lower vapor pressure specification (which should actually help to prevent vapor lock).

Possibly a more likely cause of the recent issues is due to many states now allowing the sale of E15 (15% ethanol) without having to specifically state it on the gas pump (many will just have a small sign somewhere inconspicuously on the pump to only use the fuel in model year vehicles 2001 and newer) I'm not sure if CO is one of those states

So does the mean that "clear" conventional unleaded is no longer allowed to be sold anywhere in CO? Most of the attainment areas that require RFG are typically smog prone large metropolitan areas

Hey there folks. Just a reminder that I have one spot open in my RV site at KOA to help keep your costs down. It’ll be myself in a tent cot setup, an 80 series with RTT, and whatever you’re working with. DM me if you’re interested.

Interesting! This is more than likely why my CRV has been underpowered lately. I thought it was off.

for those that have interest… I tracked down more specifics…

The reformulated gasoline (RFG) requirement for CO is specific to cities along the front range… although since a high majority of the gasoline sold in CO is produced at a limited number of refineries, its very possible that RFG gets sold in other areas of the state just out of convenience.

The RFG is only mandated to be sold in the “containment zone” during the summer season (specifically Jun 1-Sept 15) with a vapor pressure of 7.4# (typical summer RVP is 9.0# in most midwest states)

Since ethanol contributes to higher RVP, its unlikely that refiners/terminals will add more than the 10% ethanol required to meet the minimum RFG oxygenate spec. Although higher ethanol blends could be possible outside of the summer driving season.

Based on this, my assumption is we should still be able to buy “clear” (no ethanol) conventional premium gasoline at our favorite station in Ouray this year.

Not a problem here. I already use environmentally friendly green nozzle at the pumps.

I'm in Denver and can still get ethanol free at the Maverik station near my house. What's actually coming out the pump ... who knows.

I saw some different options at maverick when I filled up said economy gas and something else e10? I put in reg ole reg was misfiring 1 mile down the road. Maybe it will just an option? This mav is brand new 2 months old cant see them putting in tanks for gas they knew had to change june 1st

I’ve never assembled, removed, or installed an engine before. Just got this back from the machine shop today along with all of the machined & balanced internals.

Think I can get it done and in before SAS?
