Nope, it follows the river bottom to ridgeway. You come up behind the grocery store. It’s just a county dirt road with some houses & small farms, but a really pretty 15 minute drive. Is that the one that goes up the hill?

We cruised part of it last year and the road 23 splits to 17, I believe, and 17 goes up the hill above camp, I believe… I’m not looking at the map but that’s what I’m remembering…Is that the one that goes up the hill?
Hey Curtis!! @cstav86@TheBlackSheep @CruiserTrash hope you guys enjoyed the article! It was a fun writeup and originated with the idea that we needed to do something with @cdphotog photos, they were too good to just live in a drop box folder.

There is alot of cool stuff on that run. That is almost worth an over night run . I could spend a whole day Just in the Golconda mining complex it is right about mile marker 15 heading into lake city. Make sure you go up to the boarding and compressor houses they just re did them 2 yrs ago. and get out of your rigs and take the short hike down to whitmore falls.. Depending when I get there I may go . It will be a long day even travailing fast.. about at mile marker 15 the road splits and runs next to the creek through the mining complex go down that . if your a fisherman there a big beaver pond about 1/2 way through it is loaded with wild rainbows Last year on the way out I stopped there and caught dinnerI have 5 in the group run now, including you. I am looking forward to this run early Monday morning.
@Mesa Woman unfortunately I will not make it to SAS this year. We are taking a family trip to Steamboat to see the colors change in September and plan to do a few trails in the 40 while up there. I hope to be back for SAS #9!Hey Curtis!! @cstav86

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your inside experience with the LandCruiser community! Great write up, love the pictures!! Gotta love Chris @cdphotog and lucky you for having him on several runs with you!
Congrats on your baby girl, hope all is going well! I enjoyed my 100 series as a family vehicle, plenty of room and super comfy! I was able to put a queen sized mattress in the back! I think it’s the perfect family LandCruiser! I cried when I sold mine…. Now I want an 80, so maybe an 80 is what you need. Lol
Looking forward to SAS 8 to see you all again!
Will baby girl be joining this year?
Happy Trails till then!
