Well...I've been knocking stuff off the list. Fiddling with things today, started it up with all belts and accessories on for the first time. Sounded great, till the PS pump started whining. OK, need to shut it down and add more fluid due to the cooler I installed and filling the system. No problem. Went to start it, starter sounds like crap, barely turns. Then stops turning. I remembered that the starter never sounded great when I drove the donor... ran to town for a other one. Put it in, zizzz--zizzz- turning over great! Then BLAM! dead stop. I don't recall hearing it catch, but who knows... pulled plugs, #8 was full of gas. I have been manually tripping the fuel pump relay to start it, and I did run just fuel for 5 mins or so yesterday double checking my new fuel lines, shouldn't have posed a priblem... but somehow it filled with gas. Compression still 175 just like the others. I checked the FPR diaphragm, good..took the #8 injector out, ohms out right, clicks nice, doesn't seem to leak with 30 psi and carb cleaner in it..spray looks good.. put it back in, start it up... it's got a bent rod. Whack whack whack whack. 🤬.
Crap. I nearly had this happen shortly after getting a LS swap done. Thankfully the gas all came pouring out the open header. Those injectors will stick open and fill the cylinder if they have sat for a good while.

When it happened to me I had already ran the truck several times too.

Precisely, sir. You can drive it a very, very long way in 4hi with the hubs unlocked.

Looks like you got the front DS disengaged. Looking fwd to seeing you two!
Zack, your suggestion is now my plan…appreciate your in put. See you…and everyone else soon!😅

Well damn, took a break from everything today and come back to see a couple people having problems. Alls I can say is that if you come and still got problems, I will offer my my hands and wrenches. Everybody knows that I sure needed those in the home base and the trail myself.

Well I left the shop late last night buttoning everything up on the engine and drove the 60 home. Still got to do some tuning, expected with all brand new performance parts just slapped together. I also got one small oil leak out of the dual oil filter system, just need to tighten up the housing for the lines. BUT IT LIVES..... again.... again?

I have to hand feed my one and only Toyota dealer for 2 hours. Can some one please come up with part numbers for DRIVE SHAFT BOLTS AND THE D/S NUTS.
Thanks

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this year. Was looking forward to taking my stock 43 but due to some good life changes, I just won’t be able to pull it off. With that said, if anyone needs a KOA site, send me a PM and we can coordinate. Site 58B from 7/31-8/6.

From the EPC
08.1984-08.1987 bolts 90105-11013
washers 90201-11013
nuts 90179-11005

@John McVicker I ordered a bunch of brand new OEM hardware for a future head swap project and it seems like every 4th bag was labeled "driveshaft bolts". I think those are pretty commonly used bolts on a 60 for what its worth.

As best as I can tell, those numbers are:
bolt: 90105-11013
washer: 90201-11013
nut: 90179-11005

EDIT; oops I see it was posted above already

Yum, I want some. For sure Maureen & I will have some ice cream at the same place you joined us in Silverton. The store on the North side of the street and with the bright green sign.

We are both sorry that you will not be at SAS 6. Hopefully #7 for sure.🙏

Rat’s Nest to SAS6 in 9 months on a very low budget!
We are getting there!
Made a successful shake down run to Amarillo from Santa Fe, NM area with no issues!
Murdoc will make it’s appearance to SAS6 from a rat’s nest 9 mo ago to a nice comfyish (a/c would be nice) ride today!
@mesa man and @murdoc1987 worked hard to get it where it is today.
While in Amarillo we had @POTATO LAUNCHER weld us up a rack for our 1966 M416 trailer we scored from Classic Cruisers @Ratboy last year. Even got the lights converted to led in the original housing.
Our set up will be different this year but looking forward to the adventures and friends!
See ya soon!!

Jess and I would like to join you two over there this year. 4th year to go and we still have not had these ice cream shenanigans.

Maybe make the run to Maggie's gulch, grab a Silverton visit, and burn down 550 to get back for dinner.

Tgats as close to a plan as you'll hear from me. See y'all soon.

@Mesa Woman your set up looks great. You have some good people helping to get you all set up. We look forward to seeing the family.

@Zjohnsonua Once again your suggestion sounds like a plan.👍🍨🍦👍

If I do say so myself…I know ice cream joints & the one in Silverton is top rate.😊

@John McVicker we do have a great group of support!
We look forward to seeing you and Maureen again this year and we will be seeing more of you as we are camped next to ya!
Cruisers will be looking good together.

We’d be up for an ice cream run with ya! The boyz sure will enjoy it!
