Thanks, Casey! It’s been hard to stay quiet about this. I went silent for a few months and folks were joking that I fell into the Adobe Creative Suite abyss. They weren’t wrong. I have Ian and Tim to thank for that detour!
These maps are illustrated by hand by me and printed locally in Broomfield, Colorado by Main Home - The Digital Frontier - Large Format Commercial Printing - https://thedigitalfrontier.com/, which is a woman-owned small business. They will be available in my store and are free to all of you during SAS. The FunTreks books are a great complement as they have excellent trail descriptions and directions.

The Humming Bird Cafe at the KOA will be open every day from 7am -12pm or until sold out.
They will have most of the food on the menu below premade and ready to go. I was told the wait time maybe 5-10 minutes for to-go orders and the restaurant is on the way out by the front office exit.
Bulk preorders from the below menu will need to be made 24-48 hours ahead of time, they need 24 hour notice minimum for preorders, it would be most ideal if you could have the bulk preorders 48 hours in advanced, but they can usually get it done with 24 hours.
I am excited that the restaurant at the KOA is willing to work with us and be open on days they are normally closed.
Please help support this local business, they are not the KOA.
I am unable to get a food truck out there this year, so this is the next best thing for us at this time. Thanks for your understanding and support. We will have a menu at the registration table for all to see and take a picture of as well as a phone number where the orders can be made through text.

Take a couple Vitamin I each morning while on the trip and you should be good. I feel you.. I had to bow out of SAS 4 at the last minute because the same disks in my back got to the point I couldn’t really even sit anymore. Had them fused and have made the trip fine ever since.Love reading all of these posts! The anticipation is building. This will be #3 for me as long as these two herniated discs(L4/L5) in my lower back decide to stop being pissed off at their sciatic friend next door. 32 hrs of highway driving + 5 days of wheeling sounds like just the medicine I need

The FunTreks book is all I have ever used on these trails. They did a great job on that book. The pics of stock vehicles “wheeling” throughout the book inspires confidence too lol

And a 10$ burrito anywhere near Telluride? That’s a bargain.
My advice going into my third SAS is to chat up the people you meet on Sunday and through the week about what their plans are and what their favorite trails are. Make a list and try to hit those. You might hear "I'm planning to hit Engineer on Wednesday with my friends from the West Dakota Mud Floppers, you wanna come along?"
You'll find that in the tenth year of this event there are friend groups that have formed and already have a plan for the week. They may not post on the board because their group is already full, or full enough of the people and rigs they want to spend the day with, have lunch with, naked paddle board on Lake Como with, whatever. That's perfectly cool. It's important to remember that everyone here is on vacation, including the organizers.
Seventy-five-ish trucks is roughly ten trail groups each morning, so even if half of them aren't posted to the board, that's still five or so trail groups being organized from the board at the reg tent with dry-erase markers each morning. Sign up for one, show up at departure time ready to go, and enjoy! The worst trail up there is still spectacular. I hope you have a great week. Nice 40!

Also, naked paddleboard? I was not aware! Guess I’ll bring mine just in case.
About 25 newbies, that’s 1/3 of the registrants this year. We’ll have things flowing but it is best to mingle, check out other’s rigs and make small talk and see what their plans are. The white boards will be in place at the registration tent and a few have mentioned and invited folks on this thread but it is tricky to find, unless you go back and read through it all.

Ongoing departure prep. Note, if you are new to trasharoos do not leave them deployed unless they will actually be used. They do not weather well.

hhmmm....we always do naked kayaking on Clear Lake...time to air up the paddle board....
BTW: the Miners Cafe at the Bachelor Mine is back open...we had breakfast there the day the Gold Mt fire started, and they re-opened for breakfast this morning. 100% recommended, open F/Sa/Su. H loves their pancakes
