This was a Proffitts rig from a few years back . I think it broke down in front of my camp . Hence it got ducked..I’ve made it pretty far without posting ai-generated pictures, but couldn’t help it.

Not just Gotta40 but has anyone else ever been on any kind of retreat or getaway where they make you take off your watch, ask you to leave your phone put away, put you on a bus and haul you to a retreat place and they don’t tell you much about it just that you’ll be taken care of? One of the things that hit me that stuck with me was “don’t anticipate”. Obviously you have to have some trust in the people, and for this event you can’t completely not plan (gas money, food) but in a lot of ways “don’t anticipate” really works here, and can really enrich the experience IMO.wheres the signup sheet for the different runs? hate to drive 2 days out there and not do any of the cool trails!

You like it better than OnX?Hey there,
If you are a first timer to SAS, I (and probably a few others) highly recommend downloading the COTREX app: Colorado Trail Explorer App - App Store - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/colorado-trail-explorer/id1435737776
Not to be confused with the Cotex app which is something entirely different.
COTREX works wonderfully in the back country and has most, if not all of the trails in Colorado. It also shows road and trail closures and will even work offline when you’re in the sticks, lost and don’t know how to get home to the KOA.
I have Onx but downloaded anyway because it’s free and why not.You like it better than OnX?

I have to say the SAS folk are the best in the world. In the last week . I have been offered help to get COPOS ready for Sas10. I have also been offered a loner 40 series a 60 series and 2 80 series. Thank you each and every one of you, You're awesome. I just made the executive decision PLC is now officially closed for vacation until Aug 10th ( Good to be the King ). It will be all hands on deck to have COPOS rigged out and ready for SAS 10. I pulled the Jeep out of storage to remind me We never miss a deadline . Be honest I know most of you would love to see me run Black bear in this !!!! Reason #427 why I stopped drinking this picture is a by product of 6am margaritas and Moab . Good thing the wheel fell off before dropping into the punch bowl.

I know Rory shows the start at 8:00 but I am not sure what time or if there is a trail leader meeting in the morning. I will send an update here if the time changes or to those want to go on this trip. The signup will be in camp but Dennis and I will be taking a group to Kite Lake on Monday. I think that we leave at 8am. Is that right, Dennis? @Tank5

Don’t be ridiculous, they told me to say it wasn’t a kidnapping! It sounds like you were kidnapped instead of being on a retreat…
Yessir. You like it better than OnX?
