Thats when the cops got called. Game on I stood my ground signed the ticket like a nice citizen. They failed to provide a definition of "on leash" the court would accept . And Pinellas county Fl bought my my 1st set of 40s with what I won. I must have been a personal injury Lawyer in a prior Life. Karl, I'm shocked you didn't think of that last year .

I will say, as a farmer who has a drain tile business and am frequently on other's farms, if I dispatched a dog with a ball peen hammer I would fully expect to get shot and buried with my own hoe, so I'd love to hear some of those stories sans the gory details, but again, around the campfire.

Understand the expectation and agree. Luckily, it was always profuse apologies all around because mistakes were made.

Ill be leaving mine at home as well, even Teddy. I take care of my Mother and got her a heeler few yrs back . The dogs are now a pack and get depressed if i take Teddy away for more than a day. Teddy is a cruiser Dog 100% . He was brought up in my buggy and learnt to just walk and run next to the rig. He ran the miner loop last year in BV . we went up Hancock and ran the whole pass I let him out again after mirror lake but his paws were sore. Did you say embarrassing moments? I think it was SAS 7 I'm in the field in frt of the SAS head quarters talking with Casey. Teddy is on a leash (to his displeasure) someones golden ran over to me for some petting. Teddy wasn't having it . ahole lifted his leg and pissed on mine hahaha. ............... We are going to do the miners loop trip again this year 1st weekend that tin cup opens. we camp at mirror lake normally the high water keeps the traffic low it was 4ft when we crossed last year don;t see it being that high this year. I'll hit you up when we go its a short notice trip ussaly a week notice cause it never opens on the same date . We have a great small group . We may even overland into SAS again this year we do tin cup then to crested butte crystal mill . then the Grand mesa. to rimrocker to ridegway. the up over imogene to Ouray. took a week few years back when I did it. I was thinking of doing this pre event one year like Kurt does the swelll at CM . Its a killer trip

Teddy has bonded with my Moms hell spawn of a heeler, Liza. If I take Teddy for more than a day Liza gets real depressed which in turn depresses Mom. Plus 2 yrs ago when I was petting another dog Teddy pissed on my leg . He may have lost his SAS privileges haha.....@muddy Justi got Teddy in trouble 1st year I brought him. Justi made the rounds stealing everyone's food . I pulled in Teddy hops out of the truck and the staff yells at me about my dog stealing food. You bringing you land shark ? I think we need to make a "Dogs of SAS Calendar" .

I hope this doesn't distract you guys from the dog leash discussions and how to "stick it to the man" advice but the Extra Swag Order form is now active.
All registrants will receive an email from SAS with the form.
We will have a limited supply of extra swag available in camp but this really helps us get or order quantities accurate.

Depends on how important staying at the campground is to you.

I got booted out of koa for my well trained and very well behaved dog not being on a leash.

I understand, we have many really great animals each year, including your dog. This is why we honor one fur-kid with the "Buddy Good-Boy" award that recognizes cool Cruiser people dogs each year.
As stated before, all are welcome just be cool! 😎
