Hey man does wristpin know your stealing his trucks?

Nah! thats just what happens when there is nothing to do at work. Did you check out the home made cardboard sandblasting box w/ plexi window?! sweet ahh? Man I was so bored.

scrape the paint off of the top/bottom of those knuckles where the shims ride. The paint adds thickness and is also compressible, so you may run into problems keeping things tight.

:bounce::bounce2: :wrench:Started on the tear down today:wrench:, here are some pics . Also found a crack in the pass. birf.:bang: Take a look. let me know what you think about running it or :wrench:replacing .:wrench: Having a lift really helps out!

P.S. I debated about weather or not it was a good time to spend the money on a sas kit.:hhmm: Made up my mind... all is well................................................ Till I get home this afternoon, to find that now I need a new central cooling unit 98*F :censor:$$$$$$$$$$$$$:beer::beer::meh:

frame is done. Just waiting on my sas kit to get here and I'll post some new pics.

Eagerly awaiting....

What SAS kit did you go with?
Are you leaving the T-bar brackets under the cab too, or did you cut them off as well?

I like it. I can't wait to see the SAS go in.

Dan

Well, I hadn't even thought about cutting out the t-bar brackets. Do think I need to or are they o.k. left alone? I bought the trail gear 5" kit and bought new toyota bearings and seals.

I was hoping someone else knew. I'm sure they don't hurt anything being left on there, but it's one of the questions I'm contemplating before SAS-ing mine.

BTW--ditch that Fram. It will lead to timing chain failure in your 22R-E. I learned the hard way, it's no fun.

Looking good and clean! What's the picture of the welding of there? Is that some cleaning up of the open ends on the front of the frame? Or has your SAS kit arrived? (one can hope :) )

Dan

O.K. thanks for the info on the fram. I'll just leave mine for now maybe later if I decide I'll do away w/ them, as for the welds that is the ends of my sliders I just capped them off. and finally YES my kit has arrived here are some pics of todays progress!:beer:

Looking real good!

That's some nice welding. I take it placing the shackle mount at the back it tomorrow's project?

That's right 2ndgen. I must be getting old. Didn't we talk about the e-brake cable issues with the T-bar mount just like a week ago?!?! Lord knows how bad I'll be when I turn 30. ;)
