Tested my new fridge yesterday on 110v. It went from 88 to -08 (FF) in about 1.5 hours. I then set it to 38 to see if it'd hold there. At 9pm it was at 38 but at 5:30am it was at 1. It reset itself to -01(which is what it was on when I received it) even though I had set it at 38. Anybody else have a problem with it changing temps?
No mine keeps the correct set temp even when unplugged and when changing from 110v to 12v. They actual temp only varies +- 3 degrees or so.

Was it still in FF when this happened?
No. I set it to 38. It was set, and was holding, at 38 when I went to bed. When I woke up it was at 1* and was set to -1*. I don't know how/why it changed the 'set' temp. from 38* to -1*.
I remember reading a fix for this on the expedition portal thread. Your gonna have to thumb through it.

My 63 had a dent in the center of the front about 1/2" deep & 3" in diameter. I just put an American Infidel sticker over the dent. All good!

It has been since 7:30am today!
To keep room in the back on overnighters +, I got the idea from Stepmurr and welded up a metal frame for the new fridge. Opened up the rear for more camping gear! Bolts right into the existing bolt holes, has channel to hold the fridge in, and held in place with hooked turnbuckles. These mount to the HD metal handles on one end and welded eyelets on the other. welded on the tabs today and painted it up.
The fridge doesnt move and is very secure. I faced it to the outside so a) the plug in is only inches to the outlet plug in. b) the in and out fridge vents are facing the front and front side where they wont be blocked by gear in the rear. c) It opens away from me so I wont be tempted .
Clearing the rear fenderwell, the front tcase shift lever in 4WD - good to go!

question: While not in use, I could easily use the fridge in my work office under my side desk and stop having to use the community fridge thats overflowing anyway.
Ive read that some use is better than just sitting there not in use. It probably doesnt make too much difference in the end? but it certainly wouldnt shorten its life being plugged in at say 45 degrees day in and day out - would it? (inside building where it about 75 all the time). Any knowledge out there one way or the other? Not that it will stop me from using it in the office, more of a curiosity type question ~

I'm curious as well.
Well I know home fridges like to sit still and running and they seem to last a long time, so I don't think you'd be hurting anything leaving it running in your office. Since they are very Chinese, it probably isn't the best thing to leave it bouncing around in the back of your vehicle when not in use, but that's probably the intended use for everyone here.
