I have some roll bar pads on my roll bars right now, but not on my front vertical bars and I need some padding on those as they shake a little and rattle into the doors bc they are very close. I don’t want the pool noodle thickness, but what other options are out there? I haven’t found any like the ones I currently have…which are minimal padding.

Cut it to fit around your tubes. Secure it by wrapping in open spiral paracord top to bottom and then back to the top. Maybe a zip tie at the top and bottom or cord locks. You could do like a double stick tape at the seam for a butt joint; or overlap say 1/2" to 1" and put the fat joint either hidden or to make a better fit at the door.

Wax the rod first to help prevent rust.

That is the one

The stock roll bar is behind the door. Believe the OP has a roll cage and rubbing on the front. Possibly 74 or earlier. The two piece doors flex more than 75 and later one piece doors.

This is correct. Mine is a 1964.

That's either an aftermarket or custom made rollbar. I guess it's rattling at the A pillar and the frt part of the door?

Correct. Since these things drive like bricks on wheels the roll bar is slightly hitting the door and rattling. I might try some foam wrap to see if that helps a little.
