"Why didn't you just use a fuel cell" :rolleyes: I totally agree w/ making the stock tank work no matter how much I have to modify the tank. I'd never give up all my storage & use a fuel cell in the tub :cool: The back of the cage in my 40 isn't tied to the frame so it's good to see how others' have done it. I think if I wanted to mod my 40 a little more, a dovetail & raised rear fenders would be top of the list. Lookin real good.
 
Storage space was the main reason for the mods on the OEM tank. The tank is all done and fits tight and I think I will have about 10-12 gallon capacity but will report back once I know. Tank is lined in and out and should last. I will get pictures this weekend..

Wicked cage man.

The rear hoop was a piece of an old cage that was on its way to the metal recycler before I saved it from the melting pot..

Looks like you're getting close . Wondering about your rear hoop . Did you start with a piece of the factory roll bar ?
