FJ55 springs, sm420, cutting the centers out of perfect dust shields, what is this 2005? :flipoff2:
too late now but Marlin sells those plates for $10 and good used dust shields sell for over $100.

I could use a few bits off the F motor if you’re willing to sell them.

Used what I had and didn’t have to spend $10. Personally I like the sm420, going to run 60 springs and axles now, and I wish it were 2005, I would be a lot younger. Kind of funny you telling me about what I want to use and you want parts for an f motor 🖕 😂

just ribbing man. Can't wait to see progress pics at FC, been having withdrawals after it all got taken down from PBB

Have you thought about widening the FJ60 front axle housing? 4plus makes a spacer you install during a cut and turn. Makes the axle fit better and gives some more width.
I was going to use fj40 axles, since I am going SOA, both Georg and Don convinced me to outrigger the frame mounts and run fj60 axles. I’m not a fan of the full width axle look. I’ll run these for a while and see what happens, I can see 1 tons making their way under there.

Rear main seal replaced, new oil pan installed, then with the removal of the timing chain cover I noticed the timing chain is very sloppy. A new is on order, once it is installed I can continue with attaching the front cover, water pump and brackets for the power steering pump/alternator.

New billet flywheel, pilot bushing, clutch and pressure plate installed. Next will be the bell housing, trans and t-case bolted together. That will have to wait until Wednesday, this work thing is really getting in the way.

UPS dropped off my order from PSC, Big Bore steering unit, ram, pump and pulley, cooler, anti splash can, remote reservoir, fluid, fittings and hoses.

Replaced the timing chain and gears, new oil pump, installed the front cover, assembled the G.O.A.T. Built alternator/pump bracket, bolted up the new water pump and re-installed the headers.

Still quite a bit of work to do before I head up north on Wednesday to drop it off for the cage work. Work has been busy and my next and only day off is Sunday to get it all wrapped up and loaded on the trailer. With the help of my son and Rob, aka landcrusher909, it should be an attainable goal, let the last minute thrashing begin!!!

I miss seeing Don's craftsmanship. Please post progress pics if you can.
Likewise. The good old days of Pirate 4x4......

I've tried to find him on social media without success. Does he post any of his work anywhere? The man is a craftsman and his work is 2nd to none!

I will post progress photos as he goes, assuming he sends me any!! 😂
Yes, he is an artist (Fab/welding God) and you have to respect his space, with that being said, it is a huge honor to have him work on this project.

I don’t think he does, he just goes about his business and let’s the final work speak for itself.

Sitting in the staging lane at FC Fabrication waiting to get the frame sleeved, power steering unit mounted, front winch bumper, motor installed, family cage, outrigger upper shackle mounts front and rear for FJ60 axles, rear axle moved back for more wheelbase.
