I'm must awaiting the @Dissent 200-series bumpers.

The boxes have been opened! First impressions are very well made with nice welds and thick metals, modular construction, massive mounting brackets and high quality fittings, connectors and fasteners. We’re each going to color code our bumpers a little differently, so it will be interesting to see which way looks better.

We know the bumper will look great on Ruby, very curious to see how it looks on the LX!

We are very curious too. His Lexus also has some fully built diffs ready to go in soon with 4.88s and ARBs!

Nice!! Hopefully I won't be too far behind on gears and lockers. Just ordered a set of braided stainless steel air lines and few other odds and ends to get prepped.

Maybe a dump question but are those side pieces just held on with a few small bolts? and if so how does that support an impact?
Would it be better to weld them together now that it has arrived?

Oh man, just discovered this bumper randomly down a google hole, fell in love, and came here to find an install thread happening LIVE! Life is good  We need an update!

Very nice!

Excited to see this on the Lx

the missing lower piece is the winch mount?

Do they include a template to cut the OEM front bumper? I'd be nervous!!!

We're leaving the center piece black, and that's the part that holds the winch and bolts to the frame in a very robust way.

No template, but for the LC it replaces the entire bumper with no cutting. Greg wanted the 16+ LC bumper for his LX, so he's definitely going to have to cut. Considering he's already cut the frame cross member and did a body mount chop and welded the bumper together, he's definitely comfortable cutting a little plastic. He custom built a SAS 2nd gen 4runner before pretty much anyone was doing that kind of stuff back in like 1999-2000 (no youtube, no real internet forums, etc), so I am confident if anyone can figure out this stuff it's him. His LX will be quite the build and it should be ready to rock for CM in less than 2 weeks!

How much do these weigh in at?

Too bad Greg doesn't have a nicer space to work in! ;)

Thanks for sharing the adventure and posting pics and details.
