So, with new fluids in on the diffs, transfer case and tranny, I went out with my wife and kids to do some hiking. Well, I discovered a reverse issue, similar to this:
1994 FZJ80 Transmission Problem
Starting out slow in reverse gear, everything is fine. As I hit the gas to go faster, it starts to slip until I let the gas pedal go, and then it engages again. From what I read in the above post, I would guess the NSS? Someone had mentioned if all the gear indicator lights are out in the speedometer, it's a faulty NSS. I checked the tranny fluid level as soon as I got home, and it was at the hot mark. So, it's not a lack of fluid in there. And it drives fine in D or 1 or 2.
Would a faulty NSS cause this Reverse issue?
