I'm going to suggest you do a serious cooling system flush with distilled water, run it, the drain. do this 5 or 6 times.
I appreciate your input that’ll happen once she’s back in action honestly the only thing that concerns me in the “dehydrated” (idk what else to call it) coolant in the thermostat housing

Guess who got to buy a new mounting bracket for a bolt that never needed to be removed…

Turn it upside down and tap around the hole with a light hammer to set up a vibration and it may vibrate out the easy out.

Then finish drilling out the hole and rethread.

I wish the one bolt that doesn’t have a back end, ended up breaking off too and I never turned it so it must have been over tightened or someone else tried and loosened it. I heated it with a propane torch and was about to weld a nut on it to try it that way and the other just fell off so I guess the heat got it to expand and just finish what someone else started

Update:

Tried to drill and tap existing mount but the hardened steel of the extractor proved to be no good in its application but a pain to remove. Pilot holed and worked my way through it. Eventually bit on my drill press walked the dog and it’s basically ruined for good now. Contacted @cruiserland because he had one in an old post. Hopefully it’ll work out. To feel good about myself and time I replaced the hood struts with a set of cruiser corps so that’s uplifting 😂

The holes when I try to drill out stuck bolts. I know the pain well.
It would have been fine if the order worked, but that hardened steel of the extractor proved to be too much and I have machining bits. It is what it is but what makes me mad is they never had to be removed in the first place.. you lose some you lose some

Contact @slow95z and @arcteryx to see if they have one by chance.

What are we looking for? Not enough time to read the whole thread right now.
Alternator bracket 1991 3FE. Lower part that attaches to block. Scroll up to post 25

Based on pictures provided, i suspect your thermostat is installed upside down with weep hole facing up to be correct orientation.

I could be totally wrong but that is how I pulled it that rubber gasket fit perfect in the upper thermostat housing and the lip for the lower housing it sat right in. I’m not sure but I believe that it wouldn’t go the other way with the inlet tubes getting in the way. I appreciate your post tho and if anyone has any more insight I’d love to here verification on the correct orientation.

Thermostat appears to be correct according to the parts diagram.

That fluid will work but many folks run higher weight. I've been running 15k for a few years and it works great. I put 45ml in my blue hub.

Here's a Google search that shows info on the subject:

how much fluid "green hub" "fan clutch" fj80 site:forum.ih8mud.com

Taken from some of the results:

"I got an fj80 aqua green hub with the adjustable setpoints and refilled it with a 50% mix of 15K and 7K rc car diff fluid- took about 25 ml of each, and set it to turn on at about 105 and go full open at 140...it runs alot, but I can turn 3500 rpm with the ac blasting and never break the halfway mark..."
Based on that one post alone I assume that the green and blue hubs may have a similar capacity. There are a number of other comments in the result threads that may help you nail down what you want to do.

Good thing is, it's pretty easy to redo the temp/open adjustments and change the fluid if you are running a bit warm or the clutch is over-engaged.
