Thought some may like to follow along. I have started the resurrection of a 1991 FJ80 3FE. First step was to replace the fuel pump to get her in the garage. Got the radiator out last night. Obviously there is plenty of leaking. Would love some advice on what I should replace now that I have the radiator out. Going back with a CSF radiator once I have replaced some items now that I have room. Inside has had water sitting in it for about 8 years. I believe its coming from the windshield and pooling in the foot wells. I would appreciate any recommendations on getting a baseline and idea where it could be leaking (Im guessing Power steering pump and I know Valve gasket). Below is what I have purchased and is on hand. Thanks and I will continue to post my progress!

Thank you for your input. I wonder if those hose kits you see actually work for the 91. Also I didn’t know that I just replaced it with what was in it. Maybe next go around or if I find something else that needs a battery I’ll swap.

Looking for some more help here. These wires look like they run under the fuse box and are connected to the back side of the alternator. Any idea what they are for? Also how should I go about the repair. One looks like it lost its connector or corroded off. Both look sketchy other than the plug. Thanks

I am going to double nut the studs so I can take the pump out without having to remove the ac pulley (I think that’s what it’s called). Do I need to put any rtv or lock tight on the studs?

After speaking with UsedLuxury, I believe I am going to open up my existing fan clutch and replace the fluid. I have read a lot here:

Was wondering what people would recommend with the viscosity of the CST fluid for my 91 (green hub i guess) fan clutch. I live in north carolina so I was thinking somewhere around 10K.

Anyone have any idea what pitch and length this bolt may be? Id try to get the other one to check but I dont want to end up in the same boat. I found it in the FSM but no part number (I highlighted it anyway).

FYI I believe it is part number : 9161160820

I ordered it from the local dealership today and should be available tomorrow. Probably will pick it up and let y’all know for future reference. Still have to extract the broken bolt.

Little update started vacuuming the horrendous inside (respirator included). Nice piece came in today I found to replace the missing fuel door.

Little update, water pump and studs with new gasket back in. Got new 5/8” green stripe gates hoses for the bottom right section. Went to the dealership for a 40 min drive to get all the lower and upper radiator hoses. Now just gotta tighten everything down and work my way back out!

I'm going to suggest you do a serious cooling system flush with distilled water, run it, the drain. do this 5 or 6 times.
