I’ve got some updates on the 67’. Got my HEI distributor from JTO installed. Man what a difference. Thing fires up and runs really nice. I also started my 4 wheel disc brake conversion as well. It’s going smoother than I thought it would. *knock knock

Those were some of the first mods I made on my ‘67. The 9mm fittings on the brakes were a pia but the HEI was awesome for about 15 years. Set it and literally not think about it. Enjoy your truck!
There’s some discussion on brake fittings and routing in this old thread. Save all of your 9mm fittings until you’re done.

Will be adapting from the 10mm to standard brake lines since metric is difficult AF to find around here.
Once I get the rear squared away I’ll take on the front brakes removal and install. Have new wheels bearings etc for up front so I’ll do those too.
yeah I’m making a list of things I’ll need. Ordered some adapters that go from 9mm to 10mm. So I can use the stock junctions. Front brakes will be on the circuit with the junction near the bib, battery side and a cap on that junction. the rear circuit will be going into the junction by the firewall pass side with a adjustable prop valve.

I posted my ‘67s upgrade not too long ago, will link it if you’re interested. I used a wilwood adjustable proportioning valve and ran all new nickel copper tubing with 10mm nuts, and a few brass 3 way 10mm tee’s (I also did a rear disc conversion).

So you cut the backing plates off instead of opening up the rear differential? You passed up THE BEST OPPORTUNITY to inspect the rear bearings and races, as well as replace the axle seals.

Well this got exciting FAST! I need to do all of these same repairs, so I’ll be watching for tips!
and then some narrower factory wheels after the rust?!

It’s not pretty “yet” but I’m figuring it out. Going to section out the rear sill. The interior body mounts and front of the rear fenders will be a challenge. I’m hoping to build in rear roll cage mounts that are tied into my frame.

Made some late night progress. These rear inner fenders are toast up front. Im prepping for a mobile blaster as well. Pulled all the glass. Seals were crusty and splitting bad. Im pretty excited to get this thing back to roadworthy condition.
