I am getting ready to make some replica power steering pump brackets for the FJ40 Land Cruiser. They will be based off of the original bracket and looks very similar. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in them. The bracket will be for the 1979 and newer FJ40's that mount to the factory block holes. They are cnc machined and will look great. I need 3 of them and wanted to see if anyone else wanted them.

With these brackets you can mount a new oem Toyota power steering pump directly to your engine with no hassles. (The new oem pump is still available from Toyota)
Just bolt them on. Let me know if you want one and I will have some extra ones manufactured.


Cost will be $120.00 each.

you have a pic or cad drawing of what they will look like?
 
Not to hijack your thread but you said the OEM pump is still available. ?? Mind sharing. My dealer and Toyotapartsdeals say NLA. Could it be listed for a FJ60/62?
 
77 will not have the block drilled for the PS bracket (unless it was swapped at one time)

I ordered a few a couple of months back. If you need one let me know. It's for a fj40
 
sorry for this minor hijack but this pump is 80 ish and later correct but uses slightly different line fittings than the 79? And according to what I have searched is basically the same pump? Again indygbd sorry for intruding and kudos for you providing the service of making these brackets. Trust me if you don't have power steering in your 40 you are missing out.

Basically the same pump. One of the pumps I purchased recently was for my 1979 project. It has power steering however since I am doing a frame off restoration I decided to purchase a new one. The pumps side by side are identical. Same pumps, reservoir, bolt hole configuration, ect... Pulley and shaft size are the same as well.
 
Pardon my ignorance here. How is the 40 pump bracket different to the 60 bracket ?

No difference on the brackets that I am aware of. I was getting sick of trying to located a bracket without buying a used pump that I don't want. I always purchase new pumps. So, I decided to make the bracket and wanted to see if anyone else was interested in some. If not, I will only make a few for my personal use.
 
I think I have an extra bracket hanging around if you want to buy it too.
 
Mark, still have a bracket that would work with 81 fj60 pump and block?
