Can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement for this? It is in a 1964, but I’m not sure if it is original or not. Getting it tested today after I did my preliminary testing and want to make sure if I need to replace it I get the correct fitting alternator.

Not going to the one wire…going to stay with external voltage regulator.

Thanks FJ40 team!!

just a heads up,
the belt is either too small for the alt pulley
or
the pulley is too large for the belt

the belt is too far down into the pulley

Any idea what size I should grab? It is the belt that is squeaking…I spray it with silicon spray and it squeak stopped.

sprays are a band aid

belts drive on the "V" sides, the belt in the alt pulley is bottomed out, not on the sides anymore
wrong pulley?
worn belt?
wrong belt?

the belt looks good in the water pump pulley, can't tell on the crank pulley,
maybe the water pump pulley is wrong versus the crank and alt??
all 3 pulleys should be the same size groove with a matching belt

not to be a downer but you should also replace the metal 4 blade fan, they will break:

Thanks…I’ll check all that out. What fan do you recommend?
