Was there any thought to retain the 60/40 split by drilling and tapping new holes for the front mounting brackets?

The middle row of seats seems to mount to captured nuts on some reinforced parts of the floor pan. Directly underneath the middle row of seats is the gas tank. So moving the seat brackets is technically possible, but it would be a very laborious process, and not worth it for me.
